Reconciliation
The day had switched for worst to best for the Cutie Mark Crusaders for they had been offered positions as friendship tutors at the School of Friendship plus gotten diplomas for it as well, so they were now officially accepted into Twilight's school. But they still felt hurt over how she treated them earlier before and they wanted to express their feelings to her, so they decided to have her come to their clubhouse so they could talk to her about it, so they wrote a letter and pasted it on Twilight's office doors as she was inside grading papers.
Spike, on the other hand, was walking through the corridors up to her office to give her some documents when he took notice of the letter taped to the door, so he flapped his new wings and removed it from the door and read it. According to how it was written, Spike could tell it was urgent since it was from the CMC's, so without hint, he opened the door and saw Twilight going through test papers, she then took notice of Spike and gave him a smile.
"Hi Spike, did you get those documents I asked for?" she asked.
"Yeah, but I also found this letter pasted on the door, it's for you." Spike answered as he gave the letter to Twilight, she used her aura to pull the letter up to her face and read it out loud going.......
"Dear Twilight."
"We are very happy that you have given us positions as friendship tutors of your school and we thank you for finally giving us a chance. But we are still really hurt at how you treated us earlier and we would like you to come to our clubhouse when your done with your work because we want to express our feelings."
"Yours Truly, The Cutie Mark Crusaders."
As soon as she finished reading the letter, she saw Spike glowering at her disappointingly.
"Alright Twilight, what screw up did you do this time?" he asked.
Twilight sighed, "I kind of threw them under the carriage and jumped to conclusions about them setting Cozy Glow up to fail."
"Twilight, why would do such a thing?" Spike asked.
"Because I figured they already knew about friendship, and I thought they were doing wrong to Cozy."
Spike hopped on her desk and sat down, "Twilight, just because somepony knows about something doesn't mean they're automatically smart about it. If I know one thing, it's that learning never stops, and friendship is one thing that is never to end in learning about."
Twilight quickly pondered the quick talk and decided to set things right, "You're right Spike, I should go and take care of this right now, I owe the Cutie Mark Crusaders an apology." she then got up off her chair and was about to leave her office when she turned to Spike.
"Spike take care of the papers while I'm gone." she said walking out and closing the doors, Spike then turned to see an enormous stack of papers awaiting grading, he groaned and walked over to do what Twilight told him to do.
Meanwhile, Twilight strolled through the streets of Ponyville hoping to set things right with the CMC's and apologize for her hypocritical attitude towards them and treating them harshly. She had known that this screw up she did was even worse than when she insulted Celestia for her acting for the once-versary play that celebrated how she came to raise the sun.
She knew she was getting close to Sweet Apple Acres because rows and rows of apple trees were now in her full view, but she also knew that when she reached the CMC's clubhouse, she would be greeted with anger from them and they had every right to be mad. She saw the clubhouse in full view and proceeded up the ramp and to the door, she then knocked and the door opened to reveal three upset fillies, she gave a small smile as she closed the door behind her.
"Hi girls." she said.
"Twilight, we really can't believe you would throw us under the carriage like the way you did." Apple Bloom said.
Twilight hung her head, "Girls, you have every right to me mad, I don't know what was going through my head."
"Not to mention all those things you said to us, such as us needing Ms. Cheerilee's classes and not yours, then you accuse us of setting Cozy Glow up to fail a friendship test and you didn't even have any proof that we even did it." said Scootaloo, they were now forming tears in their eyes.
"How could you be so unfair?!" screamed Sweetie Belle as all three of them started crying.
Twilight couldn't bare to see them in so much sadness, but she now knew that they were right because she did act like a total hypocrite to them and that friendship should be taught to every creature, not just creatures that she saw fit, so she went up to the girls, sat in the middle of them, and then draped her wings over them as a way of comforting them.
"Girls, I'm sorry, I didn't even think, I just thought since I taught you all friendship lessons in the past that I figured you didn't need anymore help from me. But I've been thinking and I was wrong, friendship lessons are endless even for the most smartest ponies who already know about it."
The CMC's looked up to Twilight with tear stains and saw she had a warm smile on her face.
"You really mean that?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Yes, and I stay true to my word from now on, no more judging or jumping to conclusions." Twilight answered getting back up on her hooves.
The CMC's felt warmth in them as they could feel Twilight really meant what she said and that she truly was sorry, so they walked up to her and gave a big group hug on her.
"And I've decided that you all can be my students if you want it, unless you all just want to keep your new positions as tutors."
"Are you kidding Twilight, we'd love to be students!" Scootaloo said.
"And you're still our friend, so we gladly accept your apology we forgive you." Sweetie Belle said.
"Well, I'm glad everything is settled." Twilight said but just as she left to head back to the school she turned back at them.
"Hey listen, I'm hosting a big welcome party next Friday evening and if you all want to come, you're invited." she said.
"Thank's Twilight." they all said and they watched Twilight depart from their clubhouse and back to the school.

OMC! Thank you for writing this fanfic XD! This is just what I needed after watching the 13 episode of season 8! To see Twilight making it up to the CMC for accusing them of "purposely" setting CG up to fail her friendship test! You hit each and every single point home especially in expressing how hurt the fillies were that Twilight did that to them. Spike makes a great point to: friendship is something you never top learning, no matter how experience you are at it, and that includes the Princess of Friendship herself

I'm sorry, but I think the CMCs are overreacting here. They heard Cozy admit she purposely failed her test, so by rights they should understand why Twilight reacted the way she did and be able to forgive her for it pretty easily

They are not overreacting, you’d be pissed off too if someone rejected you from a place you wanted to attend, and be accused of something you didn’t do.
So no this is not overreacting, this is a rewrite of how it should’ve gone. Plus, Twilight was too much of a jerk to them, telling them that they already knew about helping others and making the choice of where they should be.
Twilight had no authority or right to do that to them.

Forgiveness Denied
Twilight knows that Friendship means Listening to what others have to say, and Not to just jump the gun and mark someone as guilty and punish them without proof or evidence She literally threw everything she learned, knows, and even teaches about Friendship right out the door... and this isn't the first time either.
Forgiveness may be divine, and yes... we all make mistakes, but this time, Twilight has gone much too far. This is one mistake she is NOT ALLOWED to make (Not even by not being perfect or having a slip up)
Many of us really believe she was forgiven far too quickly and easily (and no surprises: she CONTINUES to make the same mistakes)
This time, she really should be punished.

You know what the irony of your statement is? You accuse Twilight of acting rashly in this situation, and yet you and many others in the brony community act the exact same way in regards to her here. It doesn't matter what Cozy did, Twilight's behavior is inexcusable. I'm not telling you to change your mind, but how you feel about Twilight is no different than how others feel against her for this horrible mistake and misjudgment she's made.
