Okay It started to get good here, the beginning was nice and alright, but I was starting to think where her parents where. I kind of wish you continue with another story after what happened in the movie if this works out good enough for you. It maybe isn't working here, but I would love a romance with Grubber.
It could either be something that started and then caused Tempest to break up with him, but him still wanting her back (just faitfully following her), then in the other story or something like that, they could get back together.
That or it just started with Grubber trying akwardly to hit on her in the other story.
I tried to get a part of the story in between the stuff I'm doing right now, still decent so far. I try to take my time tomorrow, maybe you want to make the chapters around 3.000 to 5.000 chapters long.
8.000 words is a bit to long for me, but at the moment I already have enough with 5.000 words.

I shouldn't have continued it tonight when I was in a kind of bad mood, but this was good.
If I understood it right, then it wasn't a true friendship Tempest or Fizzlepop had, that or the believes in the village are so strong that everyone is affected and can't endure the sights of unicorns without magic.
I kind of wish for a sequel or scenes where other characters like Twilight learn about her past. Since you want to describe the path to the movie I think certain things can probably not happen, but after that point I might wish for stuff like romance and everything.
I think I already asked for a short romance that comes up again in the future after the movie.
I like this more sometimes then some kind of war.

Sorry for waiting so long with these responses. I wanted to wait with answering until I am able to continue the story. Now that moment has come and I'll finally kick off his story!
About the length, the prologue is only 8,000 words long because I couldn't split these events without making it look silly or leave out something essential. The other chapters will be shorter and range somewhere from 1,500 - 3,000 words in length. Maybe 5,000 words if a lot is going on, but most likely not more than that.
There has been a timeskip after Fizzlepop's parents talked to Glitter Drops and Spring Rain, which was when Fizzlepop found out about her lost magic. She also realized it herself, and didn't just get it told by them, when she tried using her magic and failed with it.
The latter. The Movie made pretty clear that Tempest grew up in a village full of elitist unicorns, the fact that she outright left and decided to abandon her entire village and all the ponies who live there shows that Glitter Drops and Spring Rain weren't the only ones that loathed her after she lost her magic, so that's what I went with in this story.
Currently, a sequel to this story isn't planned. I want to write this one first, which will go on for a very long time, and whether another story I might write for Tempest Shadow someday will be a sequel to this one remains to be seen. My regular writing time is also pretty full right now and pre-planned into next year already and I have not planned to write any more stories about Tempest Shadow for the time being.

I wish I had come to this sooner. Tempest is really an interesting character and similar to Darth Vader. Although Nightmare Moon is too with her armor.
It is really fascinating how such accidents can change people and Tempest is no exception. I love here how you portrayed her, stopping the conflict of her friends and her parents responding in time to save her.
It took a long time to get back, but worth the wait like with any of your other stories. Sometimes, it takes much time to get the right quality.
And you did show well how difficult it is to adapt to such changes at first.

I've been there myself, reading a promising story and then having to witness how the author suddenly stops writing, in most cases even without any kind of explanation. Sometimes, there have also been stories here that suddenly got continued again after months or even years. Which is something I will eventually mimic.
This story here was always supposed to come back and there even is a much older story by me, that is about a "journey" as well and dates back all the way to 2014. This one will still get continued, as well.
For "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World", it's just about getting those nearly 400 readers that read the prologue back now. With more advertisement and promotion and the monthly releases, they will hopefully realize that this story has returned and start reading it soon. I know a lot of people are interested in it.

A good question and I had to think about it myself. The description makes clear he is going to show up in the story, so there is no spoiler harm by having his tag on it. When I started this story, I wasn't in the best of mental conditions and I guess last year, I had already gotten so used to it that I didn't question the absence of the Storm King's tag. I added it now, thanks for pointing it out!

Thank you! More will come again soon. It is an interesting story, but unfortunately also one that performs very bad. The fact I can only update it once a month at most right now doesn't help. But I am coming up with plans to hopefully get more people to become interested in it.
