This story is a sequel to Back To The Past

Jack has finally found the peace he has sought for so long.

Equestria, land of Friendship and Harmony, has finally brought his spirit peace and rest. Away from the darkness and tyranny of Aku, Jack has found a new strength and a renewed purpose that he could never have found in his world. The friends he has made gives him reason to smile. His desire to make sure Equestria does not follow a path like his world gives him purpose. And Applejack, his beloved, gives him a reason to live.

But the happiness does not last forever. And soon Jack will discover that it is not Aku that is the greatest foe that he has ever faced, but a foe that will take everything Jack's cares for and loves, despite all he does to combat it.

For this is a foe Jack has already beaten.

What's this? A sequel to one of my favorite stories on this site, based off of one of my favorite shows? :pinkiegasp:

Heck yeah! :pinkiehappy:

For a second I was really worried you were going to start this with the cannon ending and Applejack was just going to spontaniously combust or something. This is so much better

Well it looks like you got this story to work as the last I had heard you where having issues. Now I wonder what will happen and if things will be undone because they left Equestria?

... let me guess, AJ will have to contend with Aishi?

Hello, I did not foresee this story popping up but I'm loving it. And the ending of the first chapter was something I did not foresee. I want more!!

Ah want to kill Aku.

:rainbowderp:

A-Eh-di-ne-he-shi-mene-

*too much bewilderment, curiosity, and excitement to form coherent words*

Beside Jack Spike grumbled and started to yank on his own bow tie, getting Jack to smile at the dragon. Spike was Jack’s best man for the wedding, simply because he had asked Jack to be. That and the only other person that Jack would trust to be his best man was on Jack’s world. On Earth. Spike was a fine replacement.

I haven't seen the show... who is the one person he would trust to be his best man?

9336194
Probably the Scotsman if I had to wager a guess (a quick google search of Samurai Jack/Scotsman will tell you what I mean)

9336277
I've heard of the Scotsman... and I think it would have been hilarious if he was the best man at a wedding

well...that escalated quickly...

wow... didn't peg aj for the Mr. and Mrs. smith type of honeymooner

A sequel? Yeeeesssssss!:yay:

9336686
Perfection given form!

“Ah want to kill Aku.”

Ah, so we're finally gonna see AJ meet the Scotsman? :D

Oh Lord, I am going to follow the hell out of this fic.

New story ?
Well, looks like Christmas gift are coming earlier this year. :pinkiehappy:

but you might have out on a better show. Maybe.

"put" instead of "out"?

well...that was easy.

“You six poses a strange magic. Not one that can harm me, but a strange and powerful magic nonetheless. I must admit, it is nice to have would be assassins that are trying something new.”

“Yeah, we’d love nothing more than to stop ya ourselves. But we know our powers don’t work on ya,” the cowgirl admitted. “There’s only one thing in the world that can harm ya and none of us wield it.”

“How intriguing. You know that your powers cannot stop me, but yet you come here to face me all the same,”

This seems wildly inaccurate considering their magic both traps and harms him in the same chapter.

Aku getting prank called should be in the cannon. That's totally something that would happen, especially in season 5.

Oh.

That...was...dealt with much faster than anticipated.

Double checked and saw this is a slice of life. But there's also violence and sad. I assume it'll be honeymoon adventures with some feels, hopefully, I bet assuredly, meeting up with familiar faces.

That was a little anticlimactic, despite the epic battle, but I know you have something else in mind for Jack. SO I wait with eager anticipation.

Cue Everybody Loves Somebody by Dean Martin

Well, I can accept that the sword is the only thing that can actually destroy him it just seems weird that all the characters assume the Elements are useless against Aku only to immediately show they are at least capable of trapping him which would still be pretty bad for him.

A part of me almost dreaded a bait and switch, but I'm happy with this catharsis. Especially since it doesn't end there

Ab-so-loutly genius writing talent! That's all I have to say!
From beginning to the end, this chapter was complete perfection and brilliancy!
Ok, OK... Maybe I'm exaggerating, but still! The writing quality is impeccable.

10/10

So many Scotsmans daughters. But no Sons? Is he afeerd he will end up with A Dan? :pinkiecrazy:

.....It’s a Buckin’ Masterpiece!!!

Best epilogue ever :rainbowlaugh:

Had fun reading the Great Scotsman's lines in his voice. I like that the daughters of Aku are in good hands; reminds me of that wholesome AU doodle dump with those girls as kids being raised by either Jack or the Scotsman and his wife.

I'm equal parts surprised and dumbfounded. Those two overshadowed my excitement as I continued reading.

"Earth? EARTH? Bwahahaha, ya really don’t know anything, do ya? This ain’t Earth no more!

“This is SCOTLAND!”

Dear god, what has Jack done?

Well... At least the world is in good hands. I would have gone to the Spartans but hey if it works it works.

The Scotsman... is now the new ruler!? :rainbowderp:

...awesome! :pinkiehappy:

I really couldn't stop myself and read all of the Scotsman's dialogue in his voice, with a big grin on my face.

Finally. The fact that Jack accually went back in the show drove me insane. Thank you for not following in those footsteps.

Oh dear God, Jack, that's your choice to rule the world now? I don't know whether to laugh or quail in fear...

But that ending was just perfect. Pitch perfect :rainbowlaugh:

9342891

The right thing. The best thing.

9340110
They can stop him, but it was clear that they couldn't fully destroy him. Remember that last strike? Only the sword could do that. The elements can't actually destroy things, they disperse or imprison things but I don't think there was ever a time where they actually destroyed something.

So the daughter at the end is that the one who would’ve become Jack’s wife?

this is poetic in its own right.

Either things erupt next chapter or its going to take a slow burn. Either way, doesnt expect Jack to have a quiet time for much longer at all. :pinkiesad2:

I can see Jack training the royal guard as a day job. Maybe Twilight would finally decide to get herself a guard herself.

i can see pain incoming, and i don’t like it.

I feel like this would be an excellent end, but I get the feeling we're being set up for something...A real curve ball...

9346888

My money is that somehow Jack is still going to be untouched by time. Either because Ashi is still alive and consumed by Aku’s dark taint or fate is mad because Ryan screwed him over.

The way I see it, Jack is still going to be unable to age, since he is still displaced in time by Aku's spell and all.

So expect some heartbreak in the chapters ahead as, eventually, he outlives the rest of the Apple Family. At least, that's my guess.

Only by making a deal with Libra, the god of balance, to undo all that had happened since his arrival, could Jack save those who lived here. To save the one he loved. Had it not been for the silver man, Jack would have continued to wander Earth, with no memory of what he had lost. He wondered what had become of the silver man? He would thank him the next time they met.

AHHHH ITS RYAN YAY.

“Applejack, we’re not at that part yet. I’ve still got, like, five pages worth of speech to read before we get to the vows.”

Ha, imagining Celestia saying that brings a smile to my face.

“I swear, the both of you deserve each other. Fine, screw the traditions,” Celestia said as she threw the index cards she had been reading off of over her shoulder. “Applejack, do you take Jack in yada yada yada? You do? Good. Jack, how bout you? You as well. Great. Well then, if there is anyone that objects to this union, speak now or forever-DISCORD, I SEE YOU WITH THAT AIR HORN! YOU SET THAT THING OFF AND YOU’LL SPEND THE NEXT THOUSAND YEARS IN THE SUN…ahem, as there are no objects, you may now-“

even though this is a bit out of character for Celestia I LOVE IT

I haven't read the previous book, but this is just amazing. Sounds creepy but I missed your writing a lot. It's like a drug I swear

“Correct. I have no more doubts in me. I no longer have the burden that my father unintentionally placed upon my soul to hold me back. I know I will prevail,” Jack replied, before a thin smile crossed his face. “And of course, I have to look good in front of my wife.”

Cute

“You know…I think you’re right,” Jack said as the others landed around him. “I truly believe that Aku is gone.”

just blast him again please. just in case?

Well then that cant be all right? Is Jack's demon really gone? Who's going to be the antagonist now?
