Strongly-written and impactful without being heavy-handed--kudos!

Unfortunately, they are, for far too many people. Regardless, thank you for reading, and I'm glad it connected with you.

Really excellent. The dialogue was great, the acting was great, and the sad cuddles were wonderful. I really felt these dudes ^.^

Thanks so much for reading!

Ive been meaning to read this fic for a while now and finally got around to it. I can't believe I waited as long as I did!

This is really impactful. It means a lot to me (and, I'm sure, to many others) that you wrote this with such sincerity. I also appreciate it starring such an unlikely and unconventional pair/relationship... We find comfort in the strangest things when faced with trauma like this. I know I reached out to people I never would have expected to come back into my life when I was struggling.

This fic is seriously beautiful, in the understated, real-life sort of way. It deserves a lot more attention and love! I'll be sure to send folks your way

Thank you for that beautiful sentiment. As you can probably guess, this was an incredibly personal piece to write, and it means a lot that it resonated with you. Thank you again for the kind words.

Very belated notification, for which apologies, but I reviewed this ages ago. And liked it a lot -- have a like and a fave. From my review: "a mature (in both senses) fic about a difficult topic that I feel handles it sensitively while still being a story and not merely an authorial mouthpiece."

This one hit pretty close to home. I had my own sorta-kinda Comet&Cinnamon (my best friends, a married couple as a matter of fact) who helped me out when things got really, really bad for me. Thanks to them and their friendship, I never got quite to the point where Iron is and for that I'm forever grateful to them.

So yeah, this story resonates... Big time.
