Mostly I just noticed an absolutely terrible lack of Stygian smut, so I decided to try and provide some. And I do like a good bro-bonding, it felt fun to play around with for a quick clopfic.
Thank you, my first real completed clopfic attempt, so I do hope it turned out decent enough.
Fabulous crabulous clopfic here, delightfully lewd, and excessively adorable. Overall it was very enjoyable and you did a good job expressing the two characters and working seduction into there without it feeling forced or overly aggressive, which would have spoiled more than a little of the atmosphere.
I do feel a little bit bad being behind on Swiss material and therefore not knowing as much about the characters as I should, but I did find it interesting that the relationship here ended up reminding me a lot of how people depict the relationship between Chrom and Robin in Fire Emblem fanfics. Though that may be a slight Vice on my part due to the fact that Robin is a nerdy strategist with a semi dark past bonding with a experienced fighter from the team he's been advising.
I did notice there was a relatively low amount of set up for the environment, but for a short clopfic that's hardly a drawback as it often would add more of an inane distraction than an enhancing detail. Not much else to add from what I initially said, very good and enjoyable thank you for writing it.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad to hear people think I did well. As mentioned, it's a first official, complete clopfic on my end so I have been a bit antsy to know what people think.
I actually had to cut out some exposition and setup from the start to keep it from going too long, when the main purpose was to just create some fluffy smut.

yeah you're right. stygian (despite the person who voiced him) kinda got shafted but the pillars got some ship fics...there's even one story with magnus and rd (having a controversial subject matter) unlike with flash sentry (i'm not a flash hater! totally despise the ship with twilight. pm me if wanna hear more on my thoughts on ships or anything in general. if u are not too busy that is?) I think he was not given a personality or seen as a joke by the staff in mlp universe.
examples:
starlight glimmer - from S5 got plenty of fics and shipped with Trixie or sunset shimmer.
thorax the changeling - seen in S6 and when making his appearance known in times they are changeling - oh god he's so cute! - by the end transformed became king of his race. I ship him and spike! then his brother half way in S7.

Stygian is definitely the underdog in every way, left out both by the Pillars and even the fandom and content creators. So, yeah, if you want certain content, you might as well give it a go to try and provide it yourself.
In the later EG stuff they have slowly been venting out Brad aka Human Flash Sentry out bit by bit, giving him a more of a background character position more than he was. I don't hate the character either, but glad they at least didn't force human Twilight to crush on him too.
Actually, now I just want to see how Flash Magnus handles Rockhoof.
I'd expected more of those two than any of the other Pillars, once the episode aired. Fandom's off it's game...

I always find it fun to see what ships come from the fandom around the different characters introduced. People can be quite creative about it. I'm personally not much of a shipper myself, at least not actively. I have a few ships I support, for the rest I just leave the shipping to the rest of the fandom.
I just wished to see fans explore characters like Stygian more. He got so little screen time yet we talked about in plenty on the show. He deserves more love. Although he does get much more attention and love the official comics.

I'd never even heard of frotting before. This was a lovely read! Nice and hot while also appealing to the sentimental side. I did notice a couple of errors here and there; for example, there was one "thought" that should have been "fought" when they were discussing Stygian's contributions.
Would you mind too terribly if I wrote my own sequels to this? I'm feeling a bit inspired.

Ah, I missed that error, I'll be first to admit I usually write my stories in one sitting and rarely reread thoroughly enough for any errors that slip in. So I appreciate it when my mistakes are pointed out so I can correct them.
And I wouldn't mind a sequel to be written by someone else, just to see what kind of ideas this inspired ^^ Go ahead and make sure to link me once it's done, I'll love to read it!
This was a very, very fun read! A little rough at points when switching quickly between character's perspectives, but overall very sweet and sexy!
