Well if he's so bland in the EQG series cause they didn't give him development. Why can't we? Not in this story I doubt, haven't read it yet, but hating him for the sake of hating him is just as much of a one note "punching bag" trope as the movie's one note "Brad" trope.

I don't know about him stealing Twilight, she seems drawn to him. Also, it's Twilight's choice not ours, she wants him, let her have him. Seriously, Flash is a better partner than Timber.

Really Flash was unlike able in EQG? How? I get he doesn't interact with Twilight as much as needed for the story to work, but he did help her up when she bumped into him the first time, asked if she was okay, didn't flip out on her when she spilt the drink on him, went out of his way to prove her innocence, accepted the 'no' to him asking her to be his date (granted the 'no' was not meant for that)... Seriously I fail to find anything that makes the guy un like able, beyond maybe the writers not fleshing him out, but with what we're given... I am not seeing it

This story kinda reminds me of the anime "Haha Musume Donburi". Don't know what that is then look it up and you'll see the similarities.
