Poor Cinch. In my experience with flying on planes, I haven’t had a seat where I was wedged between obese people.
I was once wedged against a window by a guy so huge he bought two seats. It was uncomfortable because he still smashed me (I'm not a lightweight either but not obese). He was awesome though. He apologized like 50 times but eventually we started having a real talk. He was so fascinating. He even offered to help guide me to my hotel. He was fluent in Japanese and I only knew a bit. Still, its not always bad news getting seated next to an overweight person. They could be awesome.
Is this an AU? Shining Armor had a short appearance in Friendship Games, and he definitely wasn't 300 lbs.

Yeah, I got the idea for this after reading so many complaints from Americans about how ludicrously small and cramped plane seats are over there.
Certainly a fun little read there! It's a situation you don't see too often, but you've done pretty well with it.
