This story is a sequel to Hidden Goddess

Who is Chrysalis, really? Why is she so intent on revenge? Why is it so important to her to redeem herself? Is it just her pride? A Twisted sense of getting even? Perhaps a desire to show that she won't back down or give up? Or is it for a different reason. A more...personal, reason.

As far as I can see there is no human or anthro tag, nor is this a sexual story. So I ask you, is the picture either necessary or relevant?

I chose the picture not because it was sexy, but because it showed her as beautiful royalty. Look at the name of the fic. I wanted to capture the mood if what i was writing.

This story is pretty poignant and an impressive interpretation of Chrysalis's character, but the part about humans living in their world before being wiped out by Discord seems like kind of a weird addition.

You know what? You're right. It is a bit weird. I was coming up with a justification for her having the green bands across her midsection that changelings are known for in order to stop people from questioning where that part of her would come from. I could've made it a fashion accessory for Celestia's sake. But I didn't think of that at the time and that was the best idea a had okay?

This is why I want to see reformed Chrysalis. She seems like she could so easily be a sympathetic, loved character (of course, I love her just as much as the evil Queen) and a truly great leader. If this universe's Chrysalis chooses Starlight's offer of friendship, she might even be able to get her sisters back, even if she still looks different. Sure, she might end up looking like a fruit salad (no offense, King Thorax) but she might end up also looking like herself, just with the holes filled in and no slimy-looking mane. Perhaps something crown-like in place of the antlers. Those seem to be male changeling royalty things, since King Thorax and probably-Prince Pharynx both have antlers. No other changeling has antlers, just the two royals. Chryssie might get a built-in crown or something...or just keep a super-extra-long horn.:twilightblush:

Ok, got it. Do you think you might edit that part?

Yo! Thanks for coming by. I see you've taken to reading all of my work in this series. I'm happy to see it. I want to apologize for any bad blood brought about by our previous encounters and clear a few things up about my stories if you're willing to listen again. First off, about my comment about one shots back in our previous discussion. I think like that because of the way this site is structured. chapter stories normally require you to press a button in order to continue to the next chapter right? Well that's where that came from. In my head, if a story has or requires a next chapter button, then in the confines of this site, it is not a one-shot in my opinion. Also, I wasn't so much saying that one shots are not stories, so much as my stories in particular are not full stories, as they do not possess a beginning middle and end, in the traditional sense. They are written in the format of thoughts or journal entries, and thus are not traditional stories. I do believe I told you about the wanderer in my stories as well, but he only appears in later stories and summarily disappears or is not present in some at all. You should be able to tell when he is here and when he is not. In my first story for example, Rainbow Dash is reliving the past in her head. She's going down memory lane, so to speak. The same goes for Fluttershy in Hidden Goddess and Chrysalis in this story. Chrysalis is not insane, just really sad about things you have no doubt read already. And finally, as for that comment about not changing the world as we know it, I feel thatIt should have been obvious that what I was writing was an AU from the beginning. We all know Rainbow Dash is not a princess, and That Fluttershy is not a Goddess. The stories in this series are interconnected stand alones centered around singular characters who we have established does not know any of the other character's secrets, so it should stand to reason that everything appears the same, especially when it can be assumed that none of the other characters outside of the main cast and other important characters have these secrets.
