It just seems like everyday gets a little bit more difficult to consider living for Button Mash. He was once considered one of the most likeliest kids to succeed in the world, until his mental health rapidly declined and he could no longer stay motivated for the simplest of things. No matter what his loved ones did, it never worked.

Button Mash learnt a lot during these times, and the weight of them affected him no less than before. So, just like every rainy day when successful ponies like Sweetie Belle with her singing, Applebloom with her taking up the mantle of owning an expansion on the other end of Ponyville, or Scootaloo who became an all-star athlete representing the Ponyville Guardians for their national hoofball league, would be out working and being happy; Button just revels in the Beautiful Rain.

There's a sequel to this story, now.

The self-centered wangst and lack of self-awareness really make empathy impossible here.
Kudos on bringing the lels, author.

i can see why though, but typically with someone who suffers from self doubt and whatnot, typically when theyre feeling melancholic or screw up, it becomes an unfunny laughing stock to them in their heads, while i can appreciate where youre coming from, it was definitely not the mark i aimed to hit. just happy it’s a learning piece. thanks for reading.

Finally! Someone who doesn't get mad at others who say this! *Cough* Sonic.EXE *Cough*

Is there a sequel to this

Full review here, but in brief: uncomfortable and thought-provoking. I can't empathise with Button as I've never had his experience, but it's a striking look at his mental illness. The non-standard use of language is a clever touch. Upvoted.
