It is not the most intellectual of the species that survives; it is not the strongest that survives; the species that survives is the one that is able to adapt to and to adjust best to the changing environment in which it finds itself……so says Charles Darwin in his “Origin of Species.” Yet when you combine the strength of both body and mind with the ability to adapt then that is indeed what has enabled us to become the apex predators and dominators of our world during both peaceful and lethally hectic times of our evolutionary development. We are human, hominid, homo sapien sapien or roughly translated to the wise man. The last surviving variation of the genus homo. Our species down to its very core is and always will be the epitome of tenacity and adaption. It is because of this as well as a instinctual compulsion to dominate and bend the world in which we reside that I find story's such as this, to be at best, irritating and at worst infuriating. Now I will state that I both know of and recognize traits such as dominant and submissive personality types but I say a far more dangerous weapon than any spell, blade or Claw is that of a sharp mind, with which our species are uniquely gifted. Now I'm not saying that this is a bad concept nor am I stating even your writing style as lackluster. I'm merely giving my reasoning behind my dislike for this Story so far. I unlike many others do not wish to be devolved into some faceless thumbs down from the background with no logical reason given. I like to give feedback when I can despite varying degrees of acceptance. I wish you luck in your future endeavors including but not limited to this story as well as any development in your future works.
