At their yard sale Rainbow Dash decides to get back at Twilight for selling her favorite guitar. Little did she know that the violin she sold was actually a priceless family heirloom and that Twilight has taken the blame for it. How will Rainbow Dash and Twilight resolve this problem and will it cost them their friendship?

It's a unique idea, but the execution could be better. I do applaud you, however, for coming up with an idea I haven't seen, before.
Great story!!! This actually felt like a real MLP EG story. Except for the language and punishments. But it was awesome!
I don't blame Rainbow or Twilight, cause her parents are idiotic for storing a multi-million dollar violin in a random box with other junk.
Wish you added how her Grandfather reacted to the truth and how he must of felt terrible for what he did.
Plus the parents should take the full blame for sotring sucha peice ina bloody bos ina GARAGE!
I jsut read a fic where it's aone shot. Rainbow made a huge screw up, and was so bad none of her friends were not speaking to her.
it was so bad she skipped school to let things cool down, and sounds like she almost cost two of her friends thier bonds together, due to not thinking and speaking out.
Rainbows actions in this story reminds me of it.

I know cause I read the same thing. The author explained that they wrote it based on their real life expirence. They took the role of RD in the story cause her personality and attitude fit the bill

I still wish thou, you coudl wrote Twilight's grandfather reaction tot he truth or hinted what happened.
He did disowned Twilight due to her mother being a total bitch,, she did say. She was forced by her mother to tell him she sold the violin which showed she wasn't listening or allowing Twilight to explain her side of the story still.
Hate to say but you made her parents to be real monsters or fools. Twilight was way to forgiving of them, they should been some left over tension between them if not resentment.
Yeah they did offer to buy her new stuff and all that but it could been avoided if Night Light was a actually a decent father at the time.
Plus they really hurt her.
At least could had scene where they remember how angry her grandfather reacted to the truth and grief over his temper.
At least you made the aftermath between Twilight and Dash realstic, take time before she can fully trust Dash let alone forgive her fully.

I had to pay about a thousand for an average one! The craftsmanship needed to turn the wood into the violin- I even have a book on it!

Dude I know what you mean. I'm a musician myself andnknow the insane prices for instruments. I mean at most places a used drum set can set you back about a grand if it's in good condition. I judy did the price like that cause the comic it's based off of showed that Vinyl bought it as a gift for Octavia and didn't even know what model or brand it was.

I know, but I say we'll have to agree to disagree. I believe Rainbow would never betray her friend like that and I believe people don't put million dollar violins near the pile of junk that was supposed to be sold.
If I had a million dollar violin, I'd surely never part with it again.
