Elkia Deerling

Hello, my name is Elkia. I like writing stories and reading them dearly, and I am a big fan of Nordic culture. Enjoy my fiction!

T

Two worlds, Equestria and Earth, become more and more alike. Earth has been destroyed by nuclear bombs, making life in the radiation-filled dystopia a struggle. But life in Equestria too, becomes bleak and terrifying, as the changelings launch a new invasion, and finally succeed in bringing Equestria to its knees.

The elements of harmony have been lost and scattered, teleported to a new and horrible world. Together, Twilight and her friends have to tread the radioactive face of Earth to find the elements that have been lost and defeat Queen Chrysalis. Luckily--or unluckily-- they receive help from a very strange pony, a pony who came from Equestria, but has been shaped to fight in the brutal war on earth that still goes on to this very day. His name is Triggerhoof.

What is this a crossover with? And do you need to have a knowledge of it to enjoy this fic?

It's a crossover with Earth, set in an alternate universe where Earth is destroyed by nukes. I told that in the description, so I believe it is all the reader needs to know. If I'm mistaken, please tell me. I am open to suggestions.

Oh. Ok. Crossover usually means taking the characters/property's of two preexisting fictional worlds and putting them together. If you've created this version of earth for this story it's not a crossover by the definitions I've seen. Will give this story a go. Description interests me.

Ok that's some good, honest advice. Thank you very much for the clarification. :twilightblush: I'll remove the tag.

Very well done on how you wrote Zecora! Portrayed her perfectly!

Now we need a sequel of this "Worlds Apart: Life after Ground Zero" "Worlds Apart: A New Beginning" that could be of how Earth could be restored after the war, the reunion of Trigg and his parents, cleaning up Chrysalis' wrath in Equestria, how the elements manage after the loses they experienced, helping Discord past his sorrow and guilt, and who knows, maybe Trigg could find a way to get all the remaining ponies back to Equestria and surprise them all. ... Jus a thought.

That's a great idea for a sequel. I didn't really finish Worlds Apart with a sequal in mind, even though the ending is a bit open. I like open endings, haha! Trigg taking on the mission to rescue and gather the remaining ponies will be awesome. I do have to think about a way to get them back to Equestria. That will be tough, but never impossible. Thanks for the ideas!

Really! Wow, thanks! My pre-reader actually hated the Zecora dialogue and wanted me to either delete it, or totally redo it. But I stayed firm and kept the dialogue and Zecora in the story. I like rhyming a lot, so I hoped it was good. Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. :pinkiehappy:

This is hands and hooves down a true hidden gem on this site. I loved it from start to finish and you did everything so... right.
Fluttershy's little adventure. The main character's story arc. The crossover between magic and earth!
You get a rare spot in my favs and a like. Well done!

Dear Mocha Star,

Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. You've surely made my day! Comments are a rarity nowadays, so I appreciate every single one of them, and of course I appreciate the spot in your fav list as well.

It was a complicated story to write for sure, as is always the case when you split the main characters into different groups, use different POV's, and even write about two different worlds. It became much longer than anticipated! However old this story may be, I'm very satisfied with it, and I'm truly glad it has entertained you as well!

Once again, thanks a lot for the love, and good luck with your own reading/writing adventures! :pinkiehappy:
