Stricken with grief, Rainbow Dash becomes a recluse in the days following the funeral of her best friend and dear wife Fluttershy. Her very life seems to fall apart at the seams without Fluttershy. As she wallows alone in her home, Rainbow is confused to find a large package left in her living room. What disturbs her the most, however, is what's inside it.
Somepony has mailed Rainbow Dash a manufactured copy of Fluttershy. It talks and behaves like her, too. What's more, everypony else thinks it's really her. They even act like Fluttershy was never buried in the first place.

Wow... Normally, I'm not a fan of stories that involve a character being already dead, or having a few minutes before death, but I wanna let that slide to see where this goes. A robo-pony with details like this is just very interesting to me.
So far, I really loved how you portrait Rainbow Dash's visions on this. She can't decide whether it is right or wrong to use this Robo-Fluttershy like this. It's either try and use this to help her move on, or throw it away and go back to sobbing. There's enough mix in there that I can't fault her for choosing either.
so it's really a robo? i thought it was actually fluttershy, and someone used necromancy...
Well, she seems to be good at passing the "turing test". Will she develop an own will, who knows?

By the way.... Did I mention that I clicked on this story by accident? And my first thoughts was "ugh, another knock off of some sad thing or what ever"
But then, I started reading it... and, I'm proud to say it to you... that once again, you got my attention. I can't wait to see the ending... Or if there IS an ending.

It will end, somehow. I have two in mind, but both endings have problems. I'll have to figure it out. Also, I wouldn't compare this to Bicentennial Man. Elements were drawn from that movie among other things, but it's nowhere near that level of quality.
You've got to admit though... it really is like Bicentennial man. But not really like it. More like, a Japanese Love story in Pony form. But I love it. Seriously.

And now this story turned into a huge Mystery! At first, I was thinking this chapter was just a dream of what one of their last days was like, the Fluttershy that Rainbow Dash was talking to actually being the real Fluttershy. I was wrong. And then, even more questions came.
There are so many possibilities about what is going on here. Here a few examples:
Btw.: I don't know how the story will continue. But the way it is right now, this story could deserve the "Mystery" tag. :)
