headless_rainbow

I have Rainbow Dash's head. Give me monies or you'll never see it again. Except in the photos I send you of me molesting it with my futa parts.

Comments ( 138 )

Cheers to the ones that down-vote it within the first 60 seconds for being such rapid readers and pure upright individuals. :rainbowdetermined2: You sure showed me! :rainbowwild:
It must make you so sad that people will masturbate to this. :moustache:

Ehhhhh. Gonna downvote this one. Finished to it, but had a much harder time because of the constant reiterance of the joke, which was clearly the focus more than the actual snuff itself. Dash dying was maybe fifty words, all together? While it seemed like every single paragraph had to sarcastically praise Applejack, or had her chattering about how it was the morally good thing to do. It's not even great humiliation because it's so ridiculously one-sided, and Dash clearly isn't buying any of it. All it really did was be distracting, and the story would've benefited from a few less repetitions of the one, singular joke of "The Apple Family are murderous, incestual, god-praising hillbillies." The character at the end joining in and agreeing with them was just strange.

I'd personally consider you to have had this issue before, in that you want to go extreme for shock value, but it is 100% possible to do that, write a fun story, and good clop, all in three. If you're willing to take advice, I'd double down on the kink a bit harder so folks like myself who are reading for it keep reading, while further grossing out... whoever it is this is actually aimed for, because the more effort and time you clearly put into that, the more shocking the story is as a whole, as well as more memorable for both parties, for better or worse.

9086892
I mean, the whole thing is AJ's POV, so that isn't really surprising, given the premise. I think it would have been better if written from a neutral POV, largely for the reasons you mention.

That said, I feel like this entire piece was rushed. I enjoyed it for what it is, but if it were expanded into several chapters to give more time for Rainbow's plight to sink in - a few chapters of escalating 'corrective' therapy prior to the snuff - I think it would have been significantly improved.

9086892
Thanks for down-voting for a legit reason after actually reading it! :rainbowdetermined2: Because of that, I'll give you a serious answer that I wouldn't bother with for these morons that vote based on the description.

Clearly this isn't your type of story, but it IS the type of story for some people. Some people find the extreme out-of-character characters to be hilarious. I know some people do because I do. People paid me to write stories like Crime and Punishment and Equestria's Finest Hour because they liked those kinds of stories, not because they wanted me to shock people. People don't paypal me $1000 to write a novel-long gore fic just to shock people.

Of course this one isn't paid for. I simply wanted to make a fic about one of my favorite pics on Derpibooru and enjoyed writing it a great deal.

Though saying I 'want to go extreme for shock value' makes me ask 'Have you even met me?'. I would expect that kind of reaction from a random person, but you seem to have read some of my work before, so it's a little strange. Rare as it is, I say the following with no sarcasm: I absolutely do not write stories for shock value. I only write with the intent of someone enjoying it, even if I know it's only a few someones, because I know what it's like to like this sort of story and have no one catering to it.

But still thanks for making an actual well-thought comment, since I enjoy answering those more than idiots now-a-days. You'll be happy to know that I don't have any more stories planned right now that go this off-the-wall out-of-character, but I'm sure it will happen again in the future. Also based on what you said, the next snuffy story in the pipeline will be much more to your liking.

9086917
You're probably right, but the whole joke was AJ being out-of-character so that was a thing I did.

You're very right though that a fic about a long-term corrective rape situation written from a more serious viewpoint could be rather good. I'll put some thought into that and thanks for planting the idea.

I probably wouldn't use Rainbow as the lesbian for that sort of serious story though since she's the stereotype for that sort of thing.

9086848
Hell no!!! I Do masturbate to things in this site. But this, well, is a little extreme. Plus, it's not even that erotic. It's just dash being raped and murdered. And if you do masturbate to this, you're a little sick.

I think the description is the best part of this.

9086935
That was my reaction after finishing the story, I actually facepalmed..

9087014
Yes, because if you don't, it's not possible for anyone else to. Thank you for taking the time to explain to us how much better you are than us. I'm sure your words are not a waste of time or something I've read 100 times before and will definitely make me stop writing forever.

Okay, I did NOT read this... thing (I'd use stronger words, but I do try to be a lady at times)... and I'll admit that I did downvote it without reading it. (I do much the same thing with Evictus's... "writings".)

Why?

Because just the description and the cover picture alone made me sick to my stomach with utter disgust.

Yes, I know it's just a piece of fanfiction about fictional, magical, technicolor ponies, but there are just SOME kinds of pony fic that just do NOT need to see the light of a webpage, and PROBABLY shouldn't even ever leave the author's head.

This, very pointedly, is one of them.

Now, that said, I'm sure you're a very good author; this... thing... just isn't my cup of tea.

Then again, neither are Cupcakes or Rainbow Factory.

Neither of which I've read, nor do I plan to.

Ever.

My apologies if I've upset you, but this kind of thing seriously revolts me.

9087070
If you're not even into vanilla grimdark like Cupcakes or Rainbow Factory, then I'm just a little curious how you found this one? :rainbowhuh:
No offense meant, just wondering because this author generally posts some pretty extreme stuff.

9087113 It was on the site's main page when I opened it this morning, and this thing was in the "New" story section, which I check first thing when I get on the site, and I think it was about 3 or 4 entries (or thereabouts) when I was scrolling down checking out the new ones.
It's in the "Updated Stories" section, which I check second to see if there were/are any updates to any of the stories that I do follow.

And it's actually kInda hard to miss that picture.

None taken, and thanks for the warning.

“Oh goodness,” Twilight calmed as she learned that Rainbow brought this on herself. “Are you okay? She didn’t hurt you did she?”

:rainbowlaugh:
This story makes sense in an alt-universe told from the perspective of a homophobic (yet incestuous) family. Twi's reaction caught me off guard, but then it just turned this into comedy.

9087139
Ah, got it. I thought it'd been featured for a sec and I did a :pinkiegasp:

9087070
I appreciate that you've left your genuine opinion in this comment and seem to have made an effort to phrase it politely, but I do have a question or two.

I'm just wondering, what exactly do you get out of leaving a dislike on this particular story? What's the purpose in it?

Take it from my stance. Much like you, I'm not a very big fan of the content of most of HR's work—it's just not my cup of tea. (No offense, HR, I do like your Crimson Prose stuff a lot more, but we all have our preferences.) That said, I don't think I've ever downvoted any of their stories, even the ones that I've thought to click on and look at the cover of out of some strange, morbid curiosity.

The reason why? The author isn't trying to pretend that what they're writing is vanilla: they're not baiting you into reading something you don't want to, or personally attacking you with their work. Even if you find the subject matter repulsive, that doesn't say a thing as to the actual quality of the work. Something neither of us will know, because we won't read it.

A rating system on stories is meant to denote quality in at least some loose sense. How can we ascertain the quality of stories that might deal with a more grim subject matter if a lot of people are simply disliking it on principle? Something that might personally sway me to dislike is if the author was passing the events taking place in their stories off as things that would be in no way deplorable if they were enacted in the real world, but in this case, they're not.

They're simply posting a story that deals with some pretty extreme fetish material. It's not my bag, it's not yours, we've got no reason to read it, we're not going to read it. But does that mean it's bad? Like, objectively, on a prose, narrative, story beats and conceptualisation level, is a story suddenly made inferior in all of those ways just because we're not a fan of the horrific-gore-snuff-box that the whole thing is packaged in?

Of course it isn't. And honestly, HR wouldn't write these stories if there wasn't a niche, nuanced market that did enjoy them for all of their debauchery. That said, people downvote bombing every story that comes out under their name is only going to hold a trend and ensure that their work always has a limited outreach. That doesn't strike me as fair.

This comment is going to get a lot of downvotes. It's speaking out against people's freedom to use their story vote as a statement against the content that they don't agree should exist, and saying that we should be using that vote instead to talk about quality, the thing that ratings were surely made for.

In all honesty, I think it all boils down to the question of 'if this repulsed you, what led you so far as to go from the small box with the short desciption all the way to the story page with the long description and find that downvote button?' I would have thought that someone who truly didn't want to be near something like this would just steer well clear.

This upvote/downvote based on concept alone thing has mislead me a ton of times as a reader. I find a story with hardly any dislikes that turns out to be terribly written but oh I see less people disliked it because it's a happy-go-lucky comedy? I find a darker story that's impeccably written but it's got a lot of red on the bar because it promises a little despair? That shit irks me a little.

I'll tell you what, let's put this to a vote. Upvote this comment if you read stories before disliking them, if you dislike based on quality and personal enjoyment after giving it a go. Dislike this comment if you find yourself disliking stories without reading them simply because you find the subject matter offensive. I'm curious!

As Nirvana once said should've been born a colt, wait.

I posted this in the wrong story at first lol.

9087160
Honestly, If I see a story like this, I don’t read it. But I don’t leave a dislike either. I either just read the comments for fun, or just NOPE over to the next story on the list.

9087150 Quite alright, although I'm sorry I confused you.

9087160 Very eloquently put.

Okay, I'll be honest, I'm not saying that HR's stuff is badly written, nor that he (or she; whichever it may be) is a bad writer. I've never (to my knowledge, anyway) even READ anything theirs. Heck, they could be quite the good author for all I know.
And like I said, no, I didn't read this; I have no inclination to. At all.
But you might remember I mentioned Evictus a bit earlier?
I have read several of his, and they are... swill... to put it kindly.
People who read them offer heartfelt advice on how to be a better writer, and how to make his stories better... and he NEVER listens to it.
As it stands, he has over 300 stories that he's written to date, and each one is more horrible than the last.

And I don't like the idea of insulting a writer like HR by comparing them and their work to his.
Really, I don't.

What gets me to read a story (and like it or DISlike it, as the case may be) is generally the description (long OR short) and/or the cover art.

These ones?
They turned me off completely.

But at least, unlike some who hit the downvote button, I left a comment.

Another masterpiece by headless_rainbow.

9087160
Couldn't have said it any better myself.
The story is clearly labeled, and HR has plenty of followers demonstrating he has an audience.
Unless someone ties you to a chair and makes you read/listen to a story that you don't agree with, a downvote loses all of its point in my opinion.

9087196
Then again, if he had a large enough following, and this had more likes than dislikes...it would possibly make it to the featured page.

I could only IMAGINE the reaction that would take place if that happened. :rainbowlaugh:

9087070
Ah, Evictus, the only one capable of achieving this kind of a vote ratio on clean stories. Sadly your comparison is a poor insult when made to someone that has yet to get below 94% on a clean story.

Anyway, I got bored and didn't read past the first paragraph. Maybe a fan will care enough to or maybe not.

It's just reading the same tired comments that I've read 100 times before from brave Internet bullies like you has lost it's lustre. So instead I'll ignore the rest, block you, and ask you to cease your horrifying harassment of rule-abiding members like me.

I can't block you on fimfiction's mobile site though it seems, so I'll ask nicely for you to not comment further until I can. We'll see if you're at least as much of a civilized human as me.

(Edit: The answer was 'no he is not')

9087212
But as it's been demonstrated, people will see this in the New or Updated section of the main page even if it's not featured, then downvote due to the tags. Facepalm :ajbemused:

9087232
Does blocking someone also block that person’s stories from showing up? If so, I’d like to do that to you.

Nothing personal, just that the types of stories you type are REALLY not my thing.

9087256
Yes, but you’d be surprised just how many people use the front page features ONLY as a source for things to read.

Any time a foalcon fic makes it there, 8 times out of ten, you get some outrage.

I wouldn’t care, but plenty of people would.

9087212
My story Crimson's Cutie Mark actually did get featured, the only one on this account to manage it I think. I wouldn't have believed it myself if someone hadn't sent me a screenshot.

9087275
Huh. You learn something new everyday. What was it about?

That's what I like about you. You have the talent to write the most weird shit and you don't let people like Celestias right hoove stop you.

I mean it's snuff, but it's well written, so I don't care how raunchy it is.

I really don’t know what you expected when even the story description sounds like you’ve got your head shoved up your own ass.

Constructive as a bulldozer right there.

9087139
So you found it by choosing to go to it and then made a mean post in hopes of getting me to stop writing. Noted.
At least you didn't complain to the mods though. I've been told this story is generating invalid complaints. It annoys me that people that don't want to read it have to read it because of those complaints.

9087147
It wasn't a comedy before then? I have failed :raritycry:

9087160
I wouldn't call their comment a 'genuine opinion' since their logic is "This seems like something this other guy would write and that other guy sucks, so this must suck."

Still, I'm flattered that you wrote such a long thing defending me, and you're so much better at putting it than I am. Even though the down-votes don't bother me so much personally, it is annoying that people who want to find this can't.

Honestly if it were possible, I'd skip the front page for some of these stories and just post them to relevant groups. I've been told by mods that isn't possible unfortunately.

9087169
The best is when you're in an erotic snuff RP and accidentally post to the wrong chat room. :rainbowhuh:

9087178
I approve of reading comments for fun. Honestly the only reason I don't just delete the comments from morons right away is because I know some people enjoy reading them. I'm pretty sure at least some of my subscribers only ever read the comments to my stories.

9087187
This other guy sucks, so I'm down-voting. Perfect logic noted.
Honestly I'm suspicious if you aren't some nice person trying to sound silly to make me look better at this point. People are going to start thinking that I'm paypaling you monies under the table.

9087194
Yes, a masterpiece! This story makes Shakespeare sound like shit. :rainbowwild:

9087569
Nah, I getcha. That was just the cherry that made the sundae (besides RD's :moustache:).

I, personally, don't like this type of story and can never understand why some people do. However, because I'm NOT a total dickweed and understand that not everyone shares my opinions (<key word, there), I'm not leaving any vote, as it's obviously not meant for me. After all, I don't care for murder mysteries, but I don't go through downvoting every one on the site.

Edit: Fuck that. I'm upvoting just to say "Fuck you" to all the dick weeds that downvoted just because they're fucking immature little children.

9087624
We need more people like you, damn faith in humanity restored.

All this drama makes me want to read this story more! Even though I'm not a huge fan of snuff but I won't downvote it just cuz I dont like it. This downvote bomb seems to happen with FoE stories too.

I guess I just wanted to drop by say that I support your creation simply for the fact that that some people enjoy it. More power to ya mate!

9087196
I appreciate honest down-votes. It's just too bad I'll never know how many there are.

9087257
I don't see why you'd ask instead of just blocking me. Asking is like threatening to rage-quit a game that you're not even playing.
I don't think it does though. I think it only prevents me from posting to your stories and private messaging you. Is it really that hard to not click on something you know you won't like? Self-control issues? Fear of being tempted?
Seriousky, just block me and get on with your life if that's what you want.
