Just after the SV Alicorn exibition Princess Twilight Sparkle noticed Princess Luna acting very strange recently.
Princess Celestia can't say much only something about the old Unicorn Royal Family, Twilight decides to investigate, and finds a book written by Clover the Clever, all about a young Star Swirl and an even younger pony named Bullion.

Going by the trope I'd say my Young Star Swirl is more The Wonka than a Cloudcuckoolander. The Cloudcuckoolander is completely up in the air, whereas the Wonka has his feet, or in this case, hooves on the ground. Like Sir Isaac Newton and Nikola Tesla.
I do have fun world building.

Did a piece end up in Pip and the other at the library? The only other explanation I have is that Pip has been possessed.

While Pratchett did write some Science Fiction, especially early in his published career like The Dark Side of the Sun
He's far more remembered as a Comic Fantasy writer.
His Discworld books (all 41 of them) are to Fantasy, what The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, is to Science-Fiction.
I highly recommend the series. Although recommendation for reading, start with the fourth book Mort, that's the one that turned me into a Discworld fan. Other possible starting books Wyrd Sister (where I got some inspiration about Witches) and Guards Guards!
Wyrd Sisters also has an animated adaption by Cosgrove Hall Animation, as does the sequel story to Mort, Soul Music, both of which feature the late Sir Christopher Lee.
There are also three live-action adaptions, but they can be hard to follow at times. The best of them is the first Hogfather, but that is made for Pratchett fans, by Pratchett, so an understanding of the books helps when watching it.
