This is a story about a sheep. A little sheep, locked deep in prison, put there by ponies. He doesn't want to be there, but then he's had to do a lot of things he doesn't want to. It's a shame he deserves to be in there.

An early update?! You're the best! You just made my day!
I just got done thinking "oh, I am looking forward to tomorrow and a new chapter!" and then this appeared! So worth the lack of sleep!
More skulduggery shenanigans and I love it.
I knew in my heart there would be an update today! Can't wait to read it!
I still love Preys fake detachment and apparent hatred of all things pony slowly slipping away.
When this started, prey deliberately did a bad job so that things would be easier for him.
Now he's sticking his neck out for no other reason than to get the job done.
Really good character progression, I've seen serious improvement in writing ability.
This stuff still catches me by surprise
AHAHAHAHAHA! I was just thinking how hilarious it would be if someone hired Prey to steal the Elements
Ahahaha! You literally can't get– oh this is just so great!
If only prey knew... I bet he could run circles around the mane 6.
Man, these chapters seems to be going by in a flash, im just enjoying them too much!
Didn't notice any grammatical errors in this chapter, so well done to the editor.
Opportunities?
Some fascinating revelations this chapter. Though of course Prey would keep his distance. Will be fun to see how this turns out.
Praise be, a new chapter of the story I wait so much every two weeks.
The plot thicken, Prey always seem to come across every criminal circle, and now he has the ability to strike the griffin from the inside while being outside, I love it.
Sounds a bit dangerous though, having to reveal yourself like this, you might pile up trails, "Average Accountant doesn't exist" but now it will be in close contact with a political figure.
Also we noticed the long question of winter, things are going to get cold soon right ? As if night, fire, poison, wood and lack of oxygen weren't enough to kill prey, he'll have to take on the cold, won't he ?
Nice chapter, I enjoyed it, the little conversation with Paint Spot was also nice, that's a huge character development here, Prey, honest in what he wants ? Now that's new.
Now let's all do our usual 336 hours wait until the next chapter, with a smile.
Woot! a new chapter!
Phenomenal, simply phenomenal.
This story has made me come back over three times, not for a lack of good stories, but because it is just that good. You have managed to make a nearly million word story, fun. I’ve read many fan fictions, quite a few more than a million words, but this is by far the best. Your attention to detail is simply amazing, your foreshadowing is some of the best I’ve seen. This is my favorite piece of fiction on this site, likely my favorite written fiction as well, you’ve done what no other could. You have made a story, so good, so entrancing, you don’t have to be forced to read any part, you don’t have to want to see what happens next because it will be better, you want to see what happens next because it is INTERESTING.
I repeat myself: Phenomenal, simply Phenomenal.
As always, this story makes me wish I could like a story multiple times. also oppitunities lol.
Can’t say I like the idea of Prey trying to go for an important ambassador mind. To many unknowns of how to get the griffin safely alone for a time. Not to mention possible mind control check or counters someone representing a kingdom can go through.
There are other options or schemes that can happen. Maybe a plan to have the 3Ps investigators just so happens to get tipped off and actually find Average Accountant making a deal with the ambassador. That can bring interesting things to light. I might even consider tipping off the griffin to clean up and not causing an incident. Prey doesn’t necessarily have to help the night guard , just make the situation safe for them. Not a full plan but moves that go places.
While I would have liked to see Prey semi traumatize the mane six with his cute outside and gallows humor, I can appreciate his resolve to stay away from the mad town, though his reaction to Pinkie would have been something.
As for the Griffin I would not be surprised if he was trying to cure the Blood feather plague or whatever disease that's running rampant through Griffonia.

Fuck yeah, it's go time.
In two weeks
Yeah, somehow I just know that Prey and chaos central of the universe (read Ponyville) wouldn't get along.
Either the town would burn or Prey would end up defeated. Maybe both, if it's Saturday.
I find it humorous that, while Crimson, Gloom, and the others are out undercover as regular civilians all the way out in the land of griffins, meanwhile Prey and Lemon are undercover as thieves in Canterlot, and all the while both of them are trying to out the ambassador.
From psychopathic child to possessive grandpa, Prey is really growing up. His time away from Gloom and Crimson has done him a lot of good. The rest of the night guard is starting to see glimmers of his competency. I'm a sucker for dramatic irony so Prey's talk with Scenic was great. I can't wait to see how it backfires for Prey this time.
Prey is going to have an army of his fellow old people. He's pumping out those things, Zombies, or whatever they are.
Prey may have a problem on his hooves with Crimson's cure. Luna is in contact with that group every night, chances are someone will mention the miraculous cure to her. With a little investigating Lemon could be tied to Prey.
If Prey was an element of Harmony, which would he be? Bizarrely enough, I'm going with Laughter. Prey cracks a lotta jokes for a lich, that has a body count rivaling Simo Häyhä.
Well... Is Prey finally going to be disillusioned to the Elements at least? Actually, I just realized, the perception of the Ponies, compared to all the non-ponies is all black and white.
Prey sees the world as black, being exposed to all the horrible lies and terrors known as the real world.
Ponies see the world as white, all Friendship is magic and harmony and that.
But as they say, hardly anything is black and white. Yes, the world is horrible, and it's covered up in lies and illusions. But then again, it's not all bad. mlp:Friendship is Magic showed us that. I wonder weather or not either side will ever be disillusioned, and realized theres more than one side. If anything, I'd think it'd be Scenic, or one of their others in the INDS that would show Prey, given that they've seen both the horrors, and magic of the world.
'I'll be same inside my flat if I can get back to it.'
You posted this just after I left for work you monster!
Great chapter thanks for writing!

Darn, I missed one!
Just going to have to be more vigilant next time
10815877
Thanks :)
10815877
Thanks to Panem et Circenses 👍
10816464
Thanks for the edit, and sorry if you missed it. 😅
10815903
Doh'! Yes, that. That was what I meant. (Great start to the chapter, hey?)
10816117
No comment on what might to happen, if anything, with the Elements of Harmony and Ponyville.
Just as a note storywise: The Blood Feather Plague is not rampant at the moment (story timeline wise) but was twenty years or so ago. They've managed to mostly contain or eliminate it, but all the griffins are terrified of another tidal wave of plague sweeping Griffonia. 💀
10816411
Just a note: Prey's cure to Crimson, (whatever it really was), Lemon posted while in an illusion disguise, so tracing her isn't possible. Anyone can use the postal service, after all.🍰
Also, it's not the Blood Feather Plague. That was what the panic was about, but it wasn't that. (Not severe enough). So all they know is Crimson is/was sick, and wasn't getting better, but not what he was sick with. So it's not quite the miracle cure, and it only healed one person (Crimson), so it's not as a big a deal as all that.
But otherwise, with grandpa Prey:
"Get off my lawn or I'll set my dog on you!"
"Dog? What dog?"
"Release the veropede!"
10816029
It could stand for that instead, I guess. 😁
Mainly, it was a play on UPS, which is an actual parcel delivery company.
10816024
I'm flattered, thank you.
And huh, it is getting close to a million words, isn't it? I haven't really noticed these last 100,000 words how it's been building up. Huh indeed.
10815868
Ahhh, I see-what-cha'-did-there!
As for Prey's plans to investigate the Griffins, IRL diplomats have diplomatic immunity to that sort of thing
You can’t avoid the town forever, Prey! It is your destiny to go there and lose yourself in the chaos!!!
I loved the chat with Scenic Paint. I hope he sorts things with his parents, and maybe stops putting his hoof in his mouth. I wonder if Prey's going to use Lilly's house as a random distraction next time he's paranoid or something, there's only so many ponies he knows he can go visit like that.
I’m just waiting for the inevitable realisation by the rest of the ISND just how damn essential Prey is to their investigative role, and just in general when it comes to planning what to do and reacting to things on the fly. Also, healing them when they break. So just about everything that isn’t muscle or speed, really. Being on a mission without him will throw it into sharp relief how much harder of a time it has been for them, and hopefully they’ll be appreciative of what he does- if nothing else, I’m looking forward to the conversation that happens about it

Looks at the Pink Menace… yah… that would be explosive. (I don’t know chronologically, but Prey and the others joining Luna on Nightmare night would be intriguing)
Okay, now that Prey had his chat with Scenic, he is guaranteed to be inspired to return to the ISND.
:"Thank you Prey for inspiring me! I wouldn't have found it in myself without your pep talk!"
:"I LITERALLY SAID I DON'T WANT YOU ON THE TEAM!"
Beatifil, justo beatifil
10816967
I already though about the dynamic of the ISND and their individual members and I say that that's exactly why adding more people doesn't really work.
Gloom is the Leadership role, he decides things like the course of action.
Crimson is just pure muscle, not to say he's stupid but he's best at being a warrior.
And Prey for basically anything else, especially thing's that require brainpower. He's the best at thinking, investigating and thing's like having knowledge about a lot of things.
For what the ISND is supposed to be this almost seems like a jackpot, almost because at the end of the day (or night) Prey still has a kill count in the hundreds.
10816411
Either that or he's leaned quite a good amount about sugar coating his words when it comes to speaking with ponies
10817187
Prey got muscle on muscle on the FUCKING BRAIN
HORNYYYYYYYYY
Calculando el próximo capítulo saldría en ....10-11 días,si se pone las pilas y no estudia ,ni trabaja
10817810
... What?
No wait, don't answer that. I really don't know what you are trying to say, and I really don't care.

That is a perfect find and Share, thank you for the laugh. 😆

So
*laugh in spanish*

I should have figured that Lemon was in a disguise as a given. Prey doesn't have a last name but of he did, it would be paranoia.
I knew this was going to cycle to the Elements of Harmony. As far as Prey not believing that the elements doesn't exist, I guess sooner or later he'll be in for a surprise, even more so when certain 6 mares become the living embodiments of the elements.
