Silver Shadows

Silence is greater than words.

T

Spike, the Brave and Glorious in the Crystal Empire.

Spike, the one who befriended a changeling.

Spike, the one who actually won the Goblet of Fire.

Spike, the one who gave up a title to another dragon to be with his friends.

Spike, the ambassador to the dragons.

Spike... Twilight's number one assistant and seemingly used by everypony.

Spike... the favorite punching bag.

He wanted friends that valued him instead of asking him to take the trash out. He wanted friends like Thorax. Spike despised being a punching bag and will work up the courage to talk to Twilight. Yes, Twilight, the princess of friendship. The princess of harmony some might even say, took Spike for granted. Speaking with her might be a little harder than he would think.

Yes, Spike should revolt instead of being chained in Twilight's basement, making nikes, iphones and switch for his ponies masters like in the show.

Nice to see Spike sticking up for himself for once.

It's Gauntlet!

why the heck does this have so many dislikes? Its a good story and its almost even cannon unlike a lot of other stories that over exaggerate this.

Because users here are sick of the underage toggafs that come here and write shitty fixfics?

It's stories like this makes me wonder why Spike couldn't just stayed with the dragons when he had the chance?

becuse Spike is happy with his life as is and doesnt want anything else?

8590917
I think that because it's maybe a bit too quick and short.

I'll admit you got me there. Although I still wonder will he ever realize his treatment from his friends has rubbed him the wrong way too many times?

Firstly, I don't see why you have a Tragedy tag.

Secondly, could it be possible for you to make a bonus chapter where Twilight goes to Star swirl the bearded to speak to him about his attitude towards Spike.

people say that all the time but outside of a few episodes that have writers who dont know what to dowith him so do slap stick he generally istn treated badly.

Twilight panic attacks not withstnding but then shes panicking so tends to go overboard with everyone.

And Spike epsides are....well those are what happen when yu take a support type character and try to make them centerstage without anyone to really work off of....so...yeah those tends to have issues.

Hmm, you got me there once gain.

as i said, i have never understood why people say Spike is treated like crap by everyone when at worst he is treated like a valued servant and at best, family. :rainbowlaugh:

Ponies makes him do ... CHORES! It's horrible, he's still a baby after all.

8590917
I'm wondering about that too.
It's not the best Twilight realizes she abuses Spike fic, but it's not bad. It really just needs an editor to go through an iron it out. It's filled with odd sentence structure and paragrapsh's that are a bit vauge.

It's mainly because Spike tends to be the butt-monkey when it comes to physical pain via other characters actions.
Rainbow Dash for example tends to run into or get hit by stuff a lot, but a lot of times that is because of her own actions.
Spike tends to get hurt because of a direct action by the main six specifically. A good example is him being used as cattle for Rainbow and Applejack to rope. I don't think it happens as much anymore, but it tended to happen a good amount for the first 4 seasons.

8611453 yeah, that happens with writers who dont kno what to do with him and evens till it didnt happen often enough to be seen as abuse. more jsut occatianlly taking thing to far and there ahs been times his direction action resulted in injury to others. ive watched all the seasons except for parts of the last half of six and really never saw anything to warrent the opinion people ahve of him being abused.

That and there was the time when in the episode Winter Wrap-Up, he somehow ended up napping on a block of ice before catching a cold when he fell in to the water, while everyone was laughing at him.

And in the Grand Galloping Gala episode, the Mane 6 completely ditched him in favor of their own separate plans.

And in most episodes, where the girls are all together, for some reason, Spike was nowhere to be seen. Ex. Sweet and Elite.

Or all those times when he was being subjected to be Rarity's errand boys (carrying loads of heavy luggages, being used as a pin cushion, having lost his dinners to her charm, etc.)

And let's not forget how in the Christmas Special, Twilight deliberately used him as live bait for that Winter-Zilla. If Rarity can't stand being used as a pony shield by Prince Blueblood, then I'm sure Spike is miffed at being a monster's bait.

It seems that most of the people that dislike this story do so because they dislike Spike.

Why does this story have so many dislikes? I mean, it can't be that bad, right? ...Right?

I look at it like this, it was a prank. Spike is a dragon, as in internal fire kind of dragon the fact they swim in lava is proof they have great resistance to temperature. And besides, this is literally not that different from one of those pranks on camping trips where you put someone on a mattress and float them out in a lake, try to tell me you wouldn't have a laugh at that, and yet your mad about this?

And in the Grand Galloping Gala episode, the Mane 6 completely ditched him in favor of their own separate plans.

They probably figured he had plans of his own, not to mention they had pre-made plans and could only act on them alone. Spike would be bored stiff doing what they were doing anyways. The episodes not all about him.

And in most episodes, where the girls are all together, for some reason, Spike was nowhere to be seen. Ex. Sweet and Elite.

He may be a main character but even main characters shouldn't be expected to appear in every episode.

Or all those times when he was being subjected to be Rarity's errand boys (carrying loads of heavy luggage, being used as a pincushion, having lost his dinners to her charm, etc.)

Stuff he willingly did, if he hated his job he'd speak up about it or seem more displeased.

And let's not forget how in the Christmas Special, Twilight deliberately used him as live bait for that Winter-Zilla. If Rarity can't stand being used as a pony shield by Prince Blueblood, then I'm sure Spike is miffed at being a monster's bait.

I.... kinda agree, but I mean if she didn't many more would probably get hurt in the process.

I don’t go on enough camping trips to know if that really happens or not.

But even if I did see that happen, I wouldn’t be laughing.

I.... kinda agree, but I mean if she didn't many more would probably get hurt in the process.

And yet she couldn’t think of a much better tactic that doesn’t involve forcing someone else against their will? She’s smart. Even she knew that a Winterchilla turns into a Winter-ZILLA at night. If she knew that, then surely she’d know how to coax one away, or at best, she could’ve just get Fluttershy to calm it down, WITHOUT having Discord to remind her.

What? You think she’d second-guess on the possibility that Spike could’ve been eaten and it’ll be on her head?

The idea of the story is cool and all but the writing needs some help
