This story is a sequel to Growing Down

When Twilight is on vacation Spike decides to take the opportunity to invite his marefriend, Pinkie Pie, over for a movie night. However, things don't always go as smoothly as he might hope.

***

While this is a sequel story you do not need to read the first one to understand what is happening in this one. Just know Spike and Pinkie are dating.

Set in season 3

Tied for third place in CategoricalGrant's CUddlefic Contest.

I've gotten weirdly invested in this ship

You have no idea how many times I've read and re-read "growing down". In the double didgets at least. This one also looks like it'll be re-read a whole bunch!

Somebody needed to take up the mantle. Good job, mate.

Thanks for your submission :D

My heart.......................😊

She cast one last look over her shoulder as her magic turned the projector off. “But tomorrow, you’re so grounded for doing this behind my back.”

(sarcastically)Nice wordplay Egghead.

Also since Spike and Pinkie are a thing, should Pinkie notify her family of this?

I love this! Oh my gosh thank you so much! I'm so glad you like these stories

My heart is melting to much Cute!

A ship I didn’t know I needed.

And it’s a sequel! Huzzah! The pinkie/Spike has been doubled!

When Twilight is on vacation Spike decides to take the opportunity to invite, his marefriend, Pinkie Pie over for a movie night.

Misplaced comma right in the description.

Cute idea.
Unfortunately, it suffers from a bit of clumsy dialogue and rushed writing. Don't get me wrong: it certainly isn't terrible, but it's definitely in need of editing. I'd recommend polishing it up.

Oh yeah, totally need to polish it. I just ran out of time with the deadline and the holiday. Give me a week or two and it'll get refined

I can understand that.

This is my favorite kind of take on Pinkie: very energetic and playful, but clearly still intelligent and discerning, such that it hurts when people blow off even her thoughtful, deliberate words and actions as "Pinkie Pie just being Pinkie Pie," like Applejack and Twilight did in "Growing Down."

I also love Spike/Mane 6 shipping, which is hard to find these days, and Spike/Pinkie is rarer still. Thanks for writing these great stories, and I hope to see more in the future. :pinkiehappy:

Pinkie was being a baby. I could imagine her yelling "Ow ow ow ow ow," but CRYING over a little cut like that? The main six have experienced some crazy stuff. I think they'd be tougher than that.

Also, I think Spike is going to develop a taste for Pinkie's blood.:pinkiegasp:

But, I really did appreciate this fanfic. It's sweet and cute. And that is really adorable fanart by Steadfsast Hoof. PinkieXSpike is a great ship. It's a shame it's as uncommon as is it.

So this fared well in the contest. You should submit it to the Reviewers Cafe.

Warm, simple and cute.

You did an excellent job with this. Wish I could say more than I enjoyed the latter-half, but that's all my exhausted brain could get out.

Good job! Hope to see more from you soon.

Has there been a timeskip like the description suggested? then I would ask for a story that plays between those chapters and maybe beyond this one.

Yep this was still nice, I just wish it would cover more than just this day, which means I'm sad thosw two stories where just one-shots. Maybe there is the possibility for you to make more out of this?, a bigger story?

This cute and innocent little story put such a big smile on my face! As did "Growing Down" which I just read immediately before this one. I love how you've approached this uncommon pairing!

Unique relationship quandary.

I've have an itch for a good fic to make me love Pinkie and Spike as a couple. There's so little with them together... and this fic really scratched that itch. Wonderful work
