Terror in Equestria 10: The Return of Tirek

Final Plans

After a shorter night's rest than anypony would have liked, the sun rose and everypony woke up. While Ruby was stretching wanting to lay down for just a few more minutes, Colgate was up, out on the balcony and staring to the west. What she saw caused her to pull Ruby out of bed with her aura and this did not sit well with her. Ruby snapped, "Colgate, what's going on? Why are you dragging me out of bed?"

Colgate replied, "Ruby, they're heading this way. We must wake everypony and prepare for what could determine the fate of this whole planet!"

Ruby suggested, "Well let me out of your aura so we can make sure the others are up."

Colgate released her, they headed out to the hall and began pounding on each door, yelling for everypony to get up. After everypony else had exited their room and gathered in the hall, Colgate forced Twilight's door open, went in and yelled, "Twilight, get up."

Twilight woke up with a scowl on her face as she was not thrilled that the pony that she considered to be a foe of hers would barge into her bedroom. She demanded, "I want to know why you would barge in here and wake me up."

Colgate screamed, "The time has come Twilight. They are coming towards Ponyville. We must be ready and alert for their arrival."

Twilight calmed down a bit and asked, "And how could you possibly know this? You don't have your eye."

Colgate pointed towards her neck and replied, "Ever since I became one with this collar, ALL of my abilities have improved, even my eyesight." She headed towards the exit and continued, "Now come on, we need to have a good filling breakfast and then final plans need to be made on how to handle those two."

Twilight couldn't help but be frustrated over how Colgate seemed to be in charge of the whole situation but felt like there was nothing she could do to change that given Colgate's enhanced abilities. Once they got downstairs into the dining hall Colgate ordered, "Twilight, could you get your chefs to fix us all four eggs, six pieces of hay sausage, hash browns and have them bring in plenty of cider?"

LaurFa, who was not overly hungry that morning asked, "Seriously, you're ordering for all of us, again?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, I want us all to be full and if you don't want to eat your whole meal, I'm sure either myself or my soldiers would gladly take it."

They simply nodded and Twilight headed off to place their order. When she returned, she was expecting another quiet, tense wait but would be surprised. Colgate began, "Alright everypony, even though we are waiting for our meal, I think we need to plan on how exactly we are going to do this."

They all gasped, "What?"

Colgate could tell that they were stunned that she would even consider talking about business during mealtime but figured that she had reasons for doing so. She continued, "Alright, I am not sure what time they will arrive but I do think we need to be ready for this." She pointed at her hoof soldiers and continued, "I am going to duplicate you until there are around 500 of each of you."

Ruby had only been involved in one battle that included changelings and dark Alicorns so she didn't know why they had to be duplicated. She asked, "Why do they have to be duplicated?"

Colgate replied, "Because that way we will have more soldiers. The more dark Alicorns we have, the more forces we will have that can burn them with energy and the more changelings we have, the more ooze we can cover them in and hopefully immobilize them." She then pointed towards Twilight and added, "Just ask her, she's used them for the same....."

Celestia interrupted, "Shhh.....remember, we can't bring those times up."

Colgate rolled her eyes and continued, "LaurFa, I want you to try and contact your sister and tell her she is needed. She has powerful magic and if it looks like we won't be able to kill them, she can always unmake them."

LaurFa replied, "That is an option as long as somepony doesn't split uranium atoms!"

Colgate rolled her eyes and continued, "Ruby, when they are coming into town, the first thing I want you to do is use the Rainbow of Light to turn their pack of beasts back into ponies, alright."

To some of the ponies, particularly Twilight's friends, it seemed like they were not going to have much of a role in fighting the centaurs at all. Rainbow asked, "Colgate, what are the rest of us supposed to do? It seems like you only have plans for specific ponies!"

Colgate replied, "I want all of you to burn them with as much energy as you can and please, if it looks like Tirek is about to steal your magic, teleport behind him and continue your attack."

They nodded in unison and Rarity asked, "What about you? What will you be doing?"

Colgate replied, "My primary goal at first will be using my new powers" Colgate pointed at her collar and continued, "that my collar gave me to fight against the Rainbow of Darkness. If I can destroy it, Tirac will be much easier to wipe out and then Tirek will be easier to kill."

They all nodded and outside of her military, Ruby and Scootaloo, everypony else was still leery about killing them but knew that anything short of permanently wiping them out as threats was unacceptable in her eyes. Before Colgate could bring anything else up, their meals would be brought in to them which caused Colgate's mood to change drastically. She joyfully said, "Alright everypony, chow down and remember, no business talk while we are eating!"

As Colgate sat there chowing down with a smile on her face like everything was completely fine, her allies couldn't help but wonder how in the world she could just go from being very serious to being so carefree. While none of them would admit it, not even her military, they liked the carefree Colgate much more.
