I'm not stupid. I know how to reply to comments, I just get really excited when someone comments on my story. The 'pink thing' is a spot, if you've forgotten Platinum's father is Pipsqueak, who is (so far in the show) the only spotted pony. And Platinum inherited a spot from his dad but it's pink because Platinum's mom is Diamond Tiara. You can see the spot in the cover art.
