While the story is interesting, my liking of berrytwist notwithstanding, the pic in the authors note now has my attention. I so want someone to do a challenge around that picture. How many different scenarios lead up to Twilight in bed with discord and Celestia. That would be a great thing to attempt if it has not been done.
And added to my followed stories. Looks cite, I look forward to the next chapter.
The running gag of this story will be: The 'beddening' of Tempest and Twilight.

I feel bad for Twilight in that Twilight picture with Celestia and Discord. Not a situation I would wish her to be in no matter how funny that is. Well...it could have been longer for my taste, but I just hope there is no big timeskip next time, maybe just let them continue at breakfast, I would like to see everything like her friends reactions, I just hope it aren'T necessarily the princesses that are only going to be the teasing onces, maybe one could be more serious, one proud and whatever?
I don't need it to continue like it usually would, everyone embrassing Tempest in the usual way. I hope some think like her and I guess I just want a mixed reaction and not the "Main char is embrassed and everyone else the romance expert/adult) reaction if you know what I mean.
It is funny and Tempest reaction beside from realizing in which situation she was was pretty okay guess because of her soldier personality or how she described it which I liked, but I would be also interessted in Twilight trying to make this into a relationship in the most akward way possible and Tempest kind of trying to figure out where to go from there without just simply agreeing with everything. ( I would'n mind if she gave her a chance trough.)
edit: I don'T mind if it continues like that for once without any big fights and more slice of life, but I just hope it is not just 5 chapters long.
Maybe they both even adopted a child which even Twilight doesn'T remember but she made it possible with her princes status?

okay if everything is just okay now, I hope they figured it out and the talk that follows is good, I don't expect Tempest to just go with it to be honest.

No matter what others like to believe, I like it that Tempest is or was supposed to be a Mare that can keep up with a princess, especially when they don't train and expect stuff like that to happen.
I like to think the drink is strong and she isn't a lightweight. Sometimes the Alicorns can't get drunk thing get's old, however this was just Twilight not getting a hangover right?
I really hope they go about it more or less slowly and Twilight isn't acting overly confident about it. I still image her as the slightly antisocial bookworm. Yes she got better, but she didn't had a relationship before and she can still fear that she would mess it up, as soon as she realize they maybe aren't really together since Tempest doesn't remember anything.
Not sure how to say it, but I just don't want it to feel unnatural, like she would just go with it and they just enter a relationship because of the misshap. I actually hope not everyone knows about what happens and that they can still suprise many ponies with it if Twilight should tell somepony about it because she thought it was obvious.

I kind of like it, but since it's Twilight I somehow don't want her to act like it was the most normal situation for her and like she was used to the whole dating thing. If she got drunk she has to have some sort of feelings coming up suddenly, no matter if they are giddy or whatever.
I had read a character description somehwere, where a girl character couldn't stop but smother another in their love for a while when they entered a serious relationship.
edit:2 maybe I'm just tired to see Tempest as the insecure and shy one just because she changed and Twilight to act like she is the unfazed goddes, that Celestia is being shown as in some stories.

How's the chance for a sequel? I'm not exactly happy with the recent story I was reading about them and would like to see this to continue.
Not sure what I image about how they ended up with each other, but I hope it meant more to them or at least to Twilight now that I see the real reason still needs to be written. Not sure if even much happened, depending on how you have written her, Twilight might have just gotten really cuddly.
It wouldn't be so bad, but I would like to read about something like Twilight already having a crush on her and maybe missunderstanding some signals?, I'm not sure "how much" beside an certain interesst Tempest could feel for Twilight in her drunken state.
I think in most(?) romance stories I miss the aditional thoughts of the characters in certain situations.
I noticed it a few times that the author things differently of the situation than we maybe understand it.
My imagination goes a bit to far again and now I want Twilight to be into her while Tempest is trying to develop some real feelings there.
I mostly image that in an adoption scenario but I also hardly see any romance stories in which only one person really wants the relationship in the beginning.

And they never drank again. And consequently died of dehydration. But not before the reporter.

If I had to take a guess, not that this really has any affect on the story, it's the Alicorn body simply not letting Hydration levels lower in the body, regardless of how much alcohol the Alicorn in question drinks.

A cute and funny little story.
I liked that the story is open-ended with Twi expressing her willingness to give this romance a chance.
Gives the whole thing a more mature feel despite the focus on humor. Better than love at first sight plus happily ever after.
And it's nice to see Twi handling a romantic situation/ her first romance with some amount of composure and confidence.
I always feel sorry for her when most writers shatter her dignity by having her immediately go into full "Ohmygosh-gottamakealist-gottaplantheperfectdate-cantmessthisup" freak-out mode.
As in character as it may be.
The royal late-bloomer aside, I can also kind of see Tempest developing a crush on her. Her life and world-view have just been turned upside-down and throughout the entire process there's been this big-eyed lavender cutie in front of her, extending a hoof and offering her everything she "didn't want" because she thought she couldn't have it. So with the festive atmosphere and some drinks I can totally see her imprint on Twilight romantically - at least temporarily until she's emotionally processed everything that happened.
In both my own headcanon and my favorite Tempest web comic these two were connected at their hips for a while before Tempest went on her journey. A little more friendship w/benefits-y than this story implies, but a close enough match to put an extra big smile on my face. So have a Like and a Fave.
I'm a stalwart TwiLuna shipper, but this pairing is too cute to completely ignore. And it would mean that Twily has a type.
