Alrighty... I'm glad I'm caught up with this epic, crazy story.
For anyone wondering if it's worth a read...
Please, at least check out the first few chapters. They are hilarious.
Truly.
This is my second read and I still had a great laugh. There is a good variety of humor and drama.
Once we pass that and branch out beyond PInkie's dick jokes, Twilight pulling crazy magic and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash finding themselves bodyswapped... mad action and the story kicks into high gear. My older reviews are still relevant for those sections. The story does after all hold up well on second reading.
There is some truly mental stuff when the main villain enters the frame. Some interesting takes on lore comes into the picture too. Like how Twilight's cutie mark shows up on the moon...
After some explosive events we are back in Ponyville with a multifaceted war on the horizon and some royally messed up ponies. Still some good laughs mixed in, coming through a bit more as the mood picks up again. The most recent chapters are overall the strongest. The story has grown crazier and richer while maintaining a good level of emotional impact and pace.
So yeah.
It's not done yet. But the latest chapter leaves me wanting more and I think its a worthwhile read in its current form while we wait for more.
