Starlight was never run out of Ponyville, just her village. That's the only minor error I see.
However, as for the concept, I've always assumed that Starlight and Trixie would have gone to the Changeling Kingdom(if the movie took place sometime during season 7) or at the very least the Crystal Empire since Shining Armor wasn't present and we don't know the full size of the Storm King's army in this case. Overall, this was a nice read.

If the Gameloft mobile app counts apparently Starlight was imprisoned in a crystal mine while Trixie and CMC formed "La resistance" in Ponyville (its the game plot we got for the movie).

What’s this a Starlight hater who can actually write her without shitting on her constantly? That’s impossible. Okay for real, while I am okay with people not liking Starlight it’s annoying to see stories who just put her in a story just to shit on her character. I’m glad you didn’t do that.
