Yeah that would be the case, but you see in the game Undertale there is a specific character you'll meet that "Judges" you on how you did throughout your adventure. If you went through the ENTIRE game without killing anyone you would be considered playing the "Pacifist Route," However if you went through the ENTIRE game killing monsters and EVERYTHING you see, you would be considered playing the "Genocide Route," However although LOVE may sound like kindness and happy endings and so on, it's actually just the acronym for "Levels of Violence" This L.O.V.E. the character mentions is actually something that you "Gain" after killing enemies in the game, it's sort of like "Leveling Up" AKA LV if that sounds familiar.
