Jay David

Just a guy from Britain who loves MLP.

Equestria is saved again, and, as usual, a party is thrown to celebrate. But, while singers sing and dancers dance, Twilight, the Princess of Friendship, realises that there's somepony here who has a few things to say to her, and that she has a few things to say to her too.

Warning: This story will contain spoilers for the MLP movie.

It will never cease to amaze me how fast this fandom works. I literally just finished watching the movie two hours ago. Excellent story! I love your portrayal of the dynamic between these two and how Tempest is unwilling to forgive herself, even if others are. That shows a lot of maturity, which I can always respect.

But, while signers sing

You flipped a letter there, I think :derpytongue2:

I love how you mention Discord in this and how he could fix her horn but even better, you wrote her choosing not to accept. Cause she needs to come in terms of her inner demons before after all this. Though I'm surprised you didn't mention how Sunset, Starlight ect. were also once reformed but accepted friendship. Then again... you have wrote that before in others stories.

Overall, its an okay one-shot.

"We believe in friendship, Tempest. We always have done.

You can remove "done". "We always have." is all you need.

I got a laugh out of your comment, though.

You're adorable. Can I keep you?

Actually on second thoughts, I don't want you shitting on my floor, so never mind on that. Keep on with your bait, though. It's cute. derpicdn.net/img/view/2017/7/3/1477485.png

(Actually I just want to watch the world burn too. Might as well accomplish two things at once.)

"Everypony deserves a second chance, Tempest. You're not a bad person, even if that's what you think you are."

I don't think tempest knows what a person is

Claws on the other hoof...

I'm implying the Storm King. Because he has finger-like claws.

I'd like to see the orange baboon try to grab Tempest's pussy and get his entire arm arc-burned.

I SHIP IT!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I really want to hope that's sarcasm...

lmao That isn't even a proper sentence. The bait is real!

...It's an MLP movie with a villain. The fuck did you think was gonna happen?

She's one of the few villains with an actually interesting backstory and a redemption that makes sense.

Try watching the film before being such a downer, Mr. Film Critic.

Nope, sorry to disappoint you. The Storm King's minions aren't like Trump supporters.
Granted we don't get much characterization on most of them but they seem to be generic military minions.

What point? You didn't make one. Also, just calling the defense of something "white knighting" is one of the worst cop outs you can pull in a conversation. If you don't have a point to make, then leave. We won't miss you.

And why would I leave? Arguing with children amuses me from time to time.

If it makes you feel better, the other villain gets murdered on screen.

If it helps, she never was the villain. Now you're confused and can go back to enjoying the movie.

Aaaaaand i already need a sequel!

Y'know... there WAS a Spoiler Warning. You uh, you didn't have to read this.

On that note, I wanna see where else this goes. Moar?

I wanna see a sequel where Tempest gets a pirate ship of her own and strikes up a friendship with Celaeno who names her new ship the Queen Emeraldas.

Because really, did anyone see Tempest's ship emerge from the dark cloud and not think "The Arcadia!"

Tempest is cutest evil pony

SHe's a few steps past mere "cute" methinks.

And of course we need a Harlock and a Maetel... Wasn't Trixie/Chrysalis' voice actress one of the English VAs for Maetel?

I can relate to Tempest, but only slightly. The worst thing I ever did that I needed time to forgive myself for was pulling down our brand new widescreen TV to get to the wires behind it -- a TV that we'd only been using for a week -- and crunching the front end into the corner of our DirectTV receiver. Broken forever. No display but crazy colors on shards of expensive glass.

My family forgave me for it, but for once, I wound up pushing away the hugs. It took a few days for me to get past it and go back to normal. Still, I'm better for it in the end, and a lot more careful. ^^ Thanks for the story, dear author. It really did wrap up a few thoughts I had after the movie.

Solid as always. Your work is always amazing, and this is no exception. It's a shame the tag for her wasn't here yet to "complete" the story. But, what can you do? Either way, it's well done. I look forward to more. Yay.

She's cool, but it sucks that Celestia, Luna and Cadance are being subjected to the Worf Effect to show what a badass she is.

You know, we really need character tags for the movie characters.

:ajbemused: It is M.L.P. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!?? :twilightangry2::facehoof:

nice response kid

Great story mate. Short but high in quality.

I have to agree with Twilight, Tempest's real name is really ridiculous

I enjoyed the story, nice short continuation right after the end of the movie. I can see this being one of the first Tempest Shadow stories we will see since the fandom loves villains. She was also given a very cool character design.

This exchange is a little unsatisfying, mainly cause I don't know what started it. Would you be kind enough to clue me in?

Some pig-brained comment about how Hollywood hates Donald Trump and that the movie sucked. You know, generally baitey things.

I loved this!

I had something in mind before that I was going to comment as a compliment to your story, but I've decided to refrain from posting my complimentary comment as it wouldn't really have mattered. So I'll just go the cliche generic route and say it was a good story and that it was good story.

It's cute.

it sounds like a weird soda flavor

*Sigh* You're the kind that makes bronies seem like assholes... Good to know. Conversation over.

Quit feeding the troll.

Yeah, even by pony standards it's a bit silly...but only a little.

Fizzlepop...I think you've spent quite enough of your life obsessed over past events you can't change.

Nice fic. I think Fizzlepop was especially in character.

Yes, Kathleen Barr voiced both Maetel and Queen Prometheum...but Nicole Oliver was the original English voice actor for Queen Emeraldas.

I can't watch "Galaxy Express 999" without riffing: "Princess Celestia and her cosmic dreadnought have come to kill us all!" She uses the EXACT same voice she uses for Princess Celestia (and it's kind of remarkable they sound so much the same as that was getting close to 35 years ago...).

I like that. When I watched Galaxy Express 999, I didn't know who Nicole Oliver was, so now I'm going to have to dig up a copy and rewatch it. Now if only Saffron Henderson would guest star on the show. :pinkiehappy:

"Well, not to put too fine a point on it, Tempest, but you're not the first enemy that's managed to become a friend."

"But surely their crimes could not compare to mine?"

"Ever heard of Discord, Lord of Disorder? We gave him a second chance. And third, come to think of it."

"Oh, and you should have a chat with Princess Luna when you have the chance, she tried to usher in an eternal night. Then there's Starlight Glimmer, who founded a cult based around stealing cutie marks, and then tried to rewrite the past using time travel and nearly ended the whole world. She became my apprentice after that. We even managed to befriend the changelings, and they were giant monster bugs who ate love."

"You... really?"

"We're very forgiving, is what I'm trying to say."

"One of those friends I told you about? He's kind of a wiz at making unlikely things happen."

Props to you for remembering Discord, which is more than I can say for the actual writers of the show half the time.

...Seriously, where the hell was he during the movie?

I'm sure Discord was left out simply because he could have solved the problems with a finger snap. It's kinda like why Frodo didn't ride an eagle to Mount Doom. It would make the plot smarter and simpler, yes, but the journey wouldn't be there. We would have no movie. Unless they wrote in something like "oh the Storm King dis-empowered him" or his staff can negate magic like Chrysalis' throne could. There actually were many ways to include him, but including him at the start would have made things too simple.
