The original had very little in the ways of story until the very end, and it was mainly clop... which, when I wanted to actually bring story in, it seemed contrived (at least to me) and forced at times. And with the second story in the series Icy Wastes being heavily story driven... it seemed less like the original was an honest fic, and more just shameless clop. However, I still enjoy the original, and I'm keeping it up... but, this will be the 'official' version of it within the series it resides in. If you want to read the original (I can't link it here) it's on my page, still under the main series slot on the top, as well as at the top of the 'similar' list.
And... honestly, I missed a lot of things that I wanted to do... romance, plot stuff, and things too big for it to just be 'edits' to the story. All the things were missed because my original co-author just wanted to write clop scene after clop scene (and at the time about three years ago so did I).
Way to show being equal maybe nightmare moon would like to discuss duties with you.

I agree I hope Luna thinks about it remembers that they are a DI-archy and either goes screw you Celestia in private and goes to Ponyville w/o Celestia knowing or confronts her directly. Hopefully in the next chapter.

And Celestia's the embodiment of Day and Energy not Night and Rest. She can mandate what Luna does... but, she can't just abandon an entire town to nightmares and sleeplessness... Even if she can't directly help Arkantos without angering Celestia (justly in Celestia's mind) she can help another pony do it.

What's that about? Luna's reaction? I think the sarcastic, showing her sister how horribly wrong she is via several methods... well it'll sink the message deep. Plus I never really understood why the Element of MAGIC couldn't use other forms of magic including Luna's dream manipulation... it felt like a cop out. There's a lot coming up now that I get to fully think about everything.
Well I liked it but I still don’t know why Luna just doesn’t say f you dreams are my domain. What’s Celestia going to do you need the EOH to send and lock her in the moon and I like to see how the subjects would react by her putting her fellow princess away for helping ponies with their nightmares.

Actually, the way I planned it out had him being capable of doing that thanks to her taking control of the sun... Fire is weak to ice and such. So... if she's the pure embodiment of fire, and all that magic has been ripped from his grasp, the only possible thing left for him to use in that moment? Ice magics.
(Okay, I was thinking of it in terms of heat and cold. But fire and ice get the point across just as well.)
