I did this because I just couldn't stand seeing Rainbow Dash make no attempt to fight back. But as I wrote and looked at this scene, I noticed other things that made little to no sense. Another one was Caballeron not sticking around to watch the scene.

Admittedly, I haven't watched season 7, so I'm missing some context, but I can still piece together what may have led to this point.
I know the show has a tendency to throw Dash's character under the bus, so it rad to see you doing her spirit justice. Even without having seen the original scene, I still appreciate the energy and was hooked by the description when I saw it on the front page.

After two years, I finally got around to reading this.
It took me so long because normally I have hang-ups about "How it Should Have Gone" type fics that aren't explicitly either in a different AU, or establishing a new AU.
But in this fic's case, I 100% agree with this being how it should have gone.
