Carina comes to Equestria early for Hearth's Warming, but is pulled out of the festivities midway through, prompting Carve to come to Carina and her family up in Wisconsin. However, all the celebration is put on the line when Carina experiences a life-threatening conceptualization.

Long story short, this is part of a series I've been doing for the past year or so.
The original The Lost Changeling isn't referenced all that much, but its sequels are. To recap, after visiting a place that held memories of her first time meeting Rusty and Pane, that had then become a demolition sight, and going into a depression as a result, Carve was taken into a mission to get Chrysalis her hive back alongside Carina. As a result of Thorax's lack of addressing the hive's hesitation to change, Correal basically suicidally released a spell and created a crater below her, hence the name, Crater Hall. Correal's calling had lead the changelings to overthrow Thorax and recoronate Chrysalis, which prompted Chrysalis to make the efforts to befriend Equestria and vice versa.

Oooooh, I know that series. I was reading the first one, among other things, when my browser fucked up and I lost so my tabs, so it kinda slipped away. I guess I'll go back to the first one and finish it, then move through the rest before getting to this.
