This story is a sequel to Equestria Girls: The Spectrum War
After researching their universe's version of Hal Jordan, Twilight discovers that the JSA aren't the only superheroes to retire. The government has forced all superheroes into retirement after a horrific event. But after seeing The Rainbooms willpower and heroism, the heroes of the world have been reminded what being a heroes means and they decide to forget the government's rules. Along with the old heroes, a new generation heroes start appearing. Along with that Twilight must make a choice about taking on the mantle of a fallen hero.
not bad; also:
how much you want to bet that Mr. Wayne's still running along roof tops? after all, he doesn't strike me as the type to just go along with the government's demands and besides, it wouldn't be the FIRST time he's had to run from the law due to him trying to do the right thing...
I see where you're going with this...
wait: does this mean we're going to be seeing Jane Foster with Mjolnir?
the Lantern of Love is studying the last daughter of the House of El, the House of Hope...I must admit: I wouldn't have predicted this...
so our resident (ex-)bad girl is researching a certified bad-ass
(if you'll pardon my language there)...well, I'VE got no complaintsthe same kind of hero who could potentially feed you to his pet kraken if he heard you talking that way about him...
something tells me this will play into later events...
...and I am NOT proven wrong
Great start on this sequel. I LOVE the characterizations, exchanges and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I PARTICULARLY liked the misunderstanding fight between Ghost Rider and Spawn.
Of course, some of the heroes would still be in the game despite the ban (which would be a good thing because banning super-heroes would logically only make the super-VILLAINS even bolder [with the exceptions of the villains that are more interested in the thrill of matching wits with a worthy opponent than with hurting innocent people]).
I mean, Batman would still be active simply because he cares far more about catching crooks than he does about bad press.
Spider-Man PROBABLY would still be operating because, well, he's already used to insanely bad publicity anyway.
Aquaman wouldn't be affected much by the ban because, well, the area he operates in is outside the jurisdiction of most governments anyway.
I mean, yeah, they might have to be more careful about keeping a low profile, but they would still be active.
Anyway, I'll very definitely be looking forward to more of this, but I'll still be very willing to be patient because I know full well that 1. Real world concerns have to come first and 2. Inspiration is not always easy to come by.

To answer:
yes, batman is still at large, along with Marvel hero Moon Knight
yes, Jade Foster is Thor
and the Spawn and Ghost Rider fight may or may not be brought up again (I haven't decided)

thanks for the comment and truer words were spoken

You are VERY welcome.

Hey there. Just thought of something:
Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and make the most logical seeming guest:
Each of the girls will end up sharing an adventure with their assigned hero (most likely involving, if not the hero's arch-enemy, then at least a super-villain that has SOME history with the hero in question). Since that's typically the way these sort of stories tend to go.
Anyway, I DO have some suggestions for future chapters:
1. If Pinkie DOES end up meeting Batman, at an appropriate point, Batman (after seeing Pinkie doing some insane stuff to help him defeat a couple of criminals and doing a lot of laughing during a battle) can comment "Are you SURE you aren't distantly related to the Joker?"
and
2. If Rainbow ends up going to Central City to talk to Barry, there could be the following exchange (or something similar) at an appropriate point,
Barry: Rainbow Dash, right?
Rainbow: Yeah. I mean, my friends and I helped saved the world a few times, but you've actually heard of me?
Barry: Yeah. Jay told me a lot about you. About how you and your friends helped him and the rest of the Justice Society save the world from the Black Lanterns. (good-natured smirk) He also told me that he beat you in a race afterward.
Rainbow: Not by much. Anyway, Jay told me a lot about YOU too. I'm actually here to interview you as part of a school assignment.
Barry: Interview?
Rainbow: Well, my friends and I were each assigned to research a particular hero. I got you. And I figured, well, what better way to do it than by talking to the man himself? Don't worry, I Pinkie Promise I will not mention your secret identity in the interview.
Of course, I can completely understand if you don't like the ideas. And I will still be looking forward to more of this when you have the proper amount of time and inspiration.

thanks for the ideas I'll think about it and maybe see what happens
8431470
Thanks very much. :-D

A great start for a Great story.

thanks it means a lot
Hoo boy Looks like events are moving to bring the heroes back. If someone in the background had a plan to get rid of the superheroes and used Hal's breakdown to implent it, it's about to be undone by seven teenage girls. and bring the heros back. Boy that's going do make somepony say, "D'OH!"
Very little I can say except excellent job on this latest chapter. The exchanges and characterizations are quite well done, as was the future chapter set-up. I particularly liked the reveal for the situation that drove (most of) the super-heroes into retirement (as was aforementioned, there probably ARE a few that are still operating without government approval either because they operate in areas outside the jurisdiction of most countries' law enforcement or because they simply care far more about keeping the more dangerous outlaws at bay than they do about the letter of the law) as well as the introductions to some of the newer young supers (particularly Rainbow meeting Pietro and Twilight and Sunset meeting X-23) AND the Dazzlings' introduction to two of the super-villains at Rykers.
And, yeah. It DEFINITELY looks like the Calculator has something REALLY big in the works.
I'll most assuredly be looking forward to more of this, but will VERY definitely be willing to respect that real world concerns have to come first and inspiration might not be easy to come by.

thank you so much for the comment

thanks for the comment
okay: the Justice Force might be returning, but more importantly Miss Marvel, Quicksilver, and Laura Kinney are in Canterlot!!!
8444209
My pleasure. :-D
Rise if the mudafukin' villains! And we have mutants in CHS!! :D
Though I would like to see Robbie Reyes introduced to the story, to be honest. Big Ghost Rider fan.
Also, nice touch with the big battles thing. Reference to Civil War (movie) I liked it. So keep up the good work!
8444561
thanks and will do

:D
I...that's...
elsewhere...
Oh, heavens: WHAT was that sound?!
I'm not sure I want to know...
Hush now, Sugarcube: Ah'm sure it ain't anything too serious
Based upon the local fauna population's reaction and factoring in wind speed and direction, I'd say that the sonic disturbances would have been homo sapien in origin, possibly elation based
Uh, not all of us speak geek, egghead...
She's saying somebody had a fangasm, silly (looks to the camera) ...and I don't blame the guy either...

Holy mackerel. :-D That is a VERY good mass-escape scene. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places. Great use of the Thunderbolts and Suicide Squad too. :-D
As they might say in a recently released video game, "Good day for a swell battle." (cue the 1930s "big band"-style jazz music [:-D])
Sorry about that. Kind of got caught up. At any rate, I will very definitely be looking forward to more of this, but will also be very willing to be patient.

thank you so much for the comment,

you're welcome 😀
I see, it was the events of Zero Hour that forced Superheroes to retire. Although, with the girls never hearing about them ever, how long have they been retired?
Very little I can say beyond excellent action, exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked the match-ups between the escapees and the task force members and the chats between the Rainbooms and the teen heroes. And, yeah, this is looking bad, but "'bad'" in the sense that is good for drama. Anyway, I will very definitely be looking forward to more of this, but will also be very willing to be patient.
this was just awesome...and the chapter wasn't bad either
also:
ah: birds of a feather flock together...
...I'm both intrigued and terrified at the prospect of these two hanging out some more...
I just KNEW these two would end up being rivals...
looks like the beginning of a WONDERFUL friendship

Colossus working on the Apple family farm?

ah, two of the most precious characters of two franchises forming a bond with each other: simply marvelous... ...pun intended; also, I think Mary meant, "best adventure (we) ever had SO FAR"
"Hero's aren't born: they're built"
So, Big Mac: you think we'll see more of these two later?
"Eeyep."
Yeah: me too...
O_O It's returned!
God dammit Calculator!

thanks for the comment and the joke

you're welcome on both counts
Holy cow. Excellent work on this latest chapter. Once again, the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places. I particularly liked the confrontations with the escapees AND the message from the original Captain America making the call to action . And yeah, it makes sense. 30 years would be long enough for the heroes to become established AND be active for more than a decade before most of them ended up getting forced into retirement when the Rainbooms were too young to remember them. And, yeah, I see my guess was right on Batman and Spidey (among others) still being active despite the general ban.
And that set-up scene at the very end was truly great too.
Once more, the chapter took a while, but was WELL worth the wait. I'll most assuredly be looking forward to more of this, but will also respect that real world concerns have to come first and inspiration might NOT be easy to come by.
8529603
as always thank you for you continued support
8529624
You are quite welcome.
(sniff) I think I'm going to cry, but I'm not sure if it's because of all the awesome characters or because the age of heroes is returning; also, I LOVE how Steve Rogers/Captain America is channeling his inner Winston from Overwatch

I aim to please and thanks for the support
ROBBIE!!!! The Rider is here!!!!!
Again, very good job on the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked the scene at the mall and the reference to the now-classic "World of Cardboard Speech" in the flashback. I will very certainly be looking forward to more of this, but will also be more than willing to respect the need for patience.
YEAH HOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Well done my good sir. I liked the interaction between father and son, and the reactions of the girls. Though it does make me wonder. Will we ever see Pietro's sister, Wanda aka Scarlett Witch appear?
And another thing: Will we be seeing the heroes that were on TV again? And if so, perhaps them with family or something? I'd really love to see a scene with Robbie and his younger brother Gabriel (Gabe)
8544268
thank you for the support
8544403
no worries my friend
8544433
My pleasure. :-D
things are heating up (remembers that Pyro appeared) 😅 ...uh, no pun intended; also, Sentry is Reinhardt? nice 😀
well, this was nicely done; I mean...
😐 ...beg pardon Mr. President, but Hyperion?! the same Hyperion who's known to be, in almost every incarnation I've come across, as a morally grey Superman? the same Hyperion that doesn't take orders too well? the same Hyperion that could have very well ended up being the reason for the registration act if Hal Jordon hadn't briefly gone off the deep end? THAT Hyperion!?
