You had a hidden story here too?! Wow, I thought Assassin's Creed ponies were simply an internet joke, but this is amazing! I could see something like this happening in ancient pony history. But what happens next? Will Celestia and Luna make an appearance also?

The Assassin's Creed / MLP meme began with the shot of Rainbow standing on a central beam extending from a peaked roof, exactly as one might do in Assassin's Creed 2, in I believe "The Ticket Master," from way back in Season 1. Someone then Photoshopped the image to put the game's UI around the edges.

Part of the inspiration for this fanfic came from this image on DeviantArt: http://fav.me/d5qgbf8

I always thought that pony Assassins, despite the meme originating with Rainbow, should be earth ponies. You can still find my comment, which led me to conceive of this version of the Assassins, by scrolling down past the picture, but I'll just copy-paste it here:

[W]ithout Parkour, it's not *Assassin's Creed.*

'Altaïr' means "the Flying One," 'Ezio' means "Eagle," the hoods look like an eagle's beak, viewpoints are IDed by a circling eagle, there's an eagle's cry during the Leap of Faith....

Gameplay is all about movement *like* flying in spite of being *unable* to fly. Give the pony wings and everything changes. Hotshot pegasus ponies are like fighter pilots (i.e. the Wonderbolts), not like traceurs.

Also, the Assassins/Templars were pulled from the Medieval era. We've seen the Dark Ages of ponykind on the show, in the Hearth Warming's pageant. The Earth ponies were clearly oppressed by the other two races, who had more obvious and directly applicable magic powers. What did the Earth ponies have? A connection with the Earth -- with the terrain.

What better way to ponify the Assassins than to make them a secret order of Earth ponies who learn to tap deeply into their race's more subtle inherent magic to strike warlike pegasi in mid-air with a death-defying flying leap, or sneak into secret unicorn meetings, held in inaccessible towers protected by mage-locked doors, to kill their target with a thrown knife and melt away into the shadows before the unicorns can immobilise them with their telekinesis?

Nothing is true, everything is permitted!

And part of Assassin's Creed is meeting the famous historical figures of that era, and Luna & Celestia--along with their mentor, Starswirl the Bearded--were alive in that time, so YES, they will most definitely put in an appearance.
