I liked it, love Celestia-Twilight interactions in general, loved how you made the "faithful student" thing have a pretty important meaning in the overall relationship they will have.

Also don't sell yourself short, you are awesome at writing, and your one shots are no exception.
I quite enjoyed this little short story, and I quite like the idea of Celestia almost planning the first episode. I will admit, it did a take me a little longer than I'd like to say before I realized this was a prequel and Twilight was a filly.
As for how a child would react to a nightmare, I feel as if this is a pretty accurate especially Twilight being afraid of the moon.
Funny how the first story that I randomly picked, happened to be a short story.
