Monday Blues was cute, relatable, had a catchy song, and makes you like Sunset more. We saw Sunset and Twilight's misadventures on the way to school, and the others' are easy enough to figure out, but we know a little less of Rainbow Dash's.
Rainbow Dash usually runs to school. But she is running extremely late on a Monday, so she runs faster than she usually would, and crashes several times on the way there. You can expect a lot of Rainbow Crashes at that speed until she gets used to it.
Just my exaggerated interpretation on how it went down, with help from my good friend TheGuineaPig45. We probably weren't meant to think too hard about it, but I really love speedsters and Rainbow Dash is my second favorite!

Why was there a really deep pothole in the middle of the sidewalk in front of a store for Sunset to fall into?
In all seriousness, she wasn't in the middle, more to the side. The car was on the side of the road closest to her, so she'd have fallen on the curb, and there was only one car on the road at that time. And she wasn't hurt by it any more than her other crashes.

This was cute. Wouldn't call it anything exceptional, but it was a cute little story. That's worth a like.

potholeplot hole - Rainbow Dash ISN'T wearing her necklace, which she needs to use super speed away from Camp Everfree! (Just look in the picture, there is no sign of that blue necklace) So, she was just running really fast on her own.AND, she lives pretty close to the school too, so super speed or not, there's no way she would have crashed that much, and she most likely left either after Twilight and Sunset arrived, or at most, 10 seconds before. (Well, maybe. It'd be a longer path than it looks on the map, and maybe some obstacles too)
I guess, think of this as an alternate version of the story where she was using her super speed. (Which, apparently, she never does on the way to school, or else she wouldn't have been in such a rush, her actual trip must have taken longer than she would have using her speed, which she can control anyway) It still makes for a cute story, right?

She could have the geode under her shirt like some girls do and I believe they've shown in the EQG show that they do indeed put them under the shirt to avoid showing everyone that they have the geodes.
