Fun Fact: Draconmannulus is a combo of Latin words, draco (dragon) and mannulus (little pony). Basically Spike. And now you know Latin. You're a Roman.

This story is a sequel to Prince Blueblood: The Politician

Prequel simply establishes Blueblood as a politician, no story elements present at all.

Princess Twilight Sparkle appears to have some trouble with politics, as her encounter with the yaks proved. On her second go-around, Prince Blueblood accompanies her for some valuable pointers. The buffalo incident and the yak incident were both resolved by Twilight's friends, not Twilight alone, and as a Princess, she needs a bit of help.

Whoa! So Blueblood truly knows what he's doing!

i assume Equestria has the most powerful military but thats just my headcanon

Really like this take on BlueBlood and maybe one more chapter for Twilights after thoughts about her first time with BlueBlood?

Griffonstone reminds me to Japan after WW2, forced to let America set the conditions specially in the military in exchange for help rebuilding the country.

Hasn't Equestria's failed repeatedly? Guess that's a sneaky way to ensure an ineffective potential enemy

They fail against threats anyone without a magical superweapon fails against. The princesses don't have much better of a track record.

This is one of those where'd I'd like to see more of, but it's already tagged complete.

I've often been at a loss for what to do with Blueblood, outside his philandering and whining, but I do suppose one doesn't philander without a bit of charm and oratory wit. Good job giving him some redeeming qualities and a use that befits his title.

Most of the threats that we see Equestria face are existential level monstrosities. Can't fault the guard for being out of their league on that one. The Changeling invasion(s) would be, off the cuff, their only notable military failure(s) against a force I'd expect them to be able to handle. But, on the other hand, they were Zerg rushed and their main cannons were taken out early.

Reads well, and I like the characterizations, but it does seem to end a bit short. Not much denouement.

Yeah. In the comics, he actually does something seemingly impossible.

...Not piss off the yaks.

Seriously, Shining Armor accidentally pisses off the yaks, Blueblood swoops in, and three hours later, they're out to party.

Without smashing crap.

This Prince wrote The Prince.

More please.

Twlight Sparkle, Lawful Good politician. Me likey. Seriously, more.

MOAR!

Competent Blueblood is best Blueblood

Wow, I can understand why Blueblood treat Rarity so rudely. He saw in her an infatuous clingy mare trying to waltz in into his life, so he took measures to shoo her away as rudely as possible.

I see it the same way too I mean maybe he is not a jerk he just act that way to keep thots and gold-diggers away.

Even though I don’t like him as a character, but I do wish that I new more about him as a character so I can say if I like him or not.
He is Luna’s Nephew? or cousin? after all.
