Okay. this i a good story, but I have a bit of a caveat.

A Princess is female, and a male royal that is NOT a king is a Prince.

Spike is a male dragon, and yet you wrote his title like this: Princess Spike.
Being male, that would make him a Prince, not a Princess.

You MIGHT want to to look inot changing that.

And Starlight Buckin' Glimmer of all ponies is Twilight's replacement?!

NOT happy with THAT one.

Still a pretty good story, though.

Thank you for your comment :pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

I thought about making Spike a prince, but you know how in one of the episodes he referred to himself as Princess Spike. I figured I'd keep loyal to that :moustache:

Yeah, Starlight wasnt exactly my first choice but in fate of the Alicorn Twilight wants to get rid of her destiny and change her cutie mark and I thought Starlight could relate to that.

The guard trembled, and Spike sent him away. He would free Twilight, no matter who had to pay the price. He would become powerful, so that he could free her. Spike calmed himself and sent a letter, he had to prepare himself. He had to become an adult, and leave behind the pathetic Spikey Wikey to win.

He would be the dragon to protect the Princess, forever.

Omg I hope is what I think it is!!! :yay: :pinkiecrazy:

I hope Celestia plan backfires so bad Harmony itself punishes ehr for all time, hat her name be listed among the depraved and dispiesed and outcasted for all time doom to roam the world alone and wounded for all tiem weeping weeping for ever on her blant stupidity.

Ok well you've come this far, I hope that your going to continue this story line

You wre a fool. Starlight is and always has been the best choice. She has earned it more then any other pony.

Plus, she is one of THE best characters on the show. And is the only reason it is still going because she breathed new life into what was a very stale and 1 dimensional show.

9505210 So I'm a "fool", huh?

Ah-huh.

Sooo, what you're basically saying is that, because I have the unmitigated gall to *gasp!* not throw myself at Glimmer's hooves and slavishly worship her like you and all of her other fans, I'm a "fool"?

Okay, then.

Okay, let me put this in a way you'll understand, kid:

I, like everyone buckin' else on this site, have the right to like, or dis-like in my case, any and all of the show's characters that we choose to.

Fact of the matter, there are several characters on the show that I don't like.

Villain-wise, these are composed of:
Discord. Flim and Flam. Queen Chrysalis. Sombra. Tirek. Gladmane. Wind Rider.
Pick a villain.

NON-villain-wise (same thing):
(And I'm only including Trixie in these because she's more an ego-maniacal nitwit than an actual villain.)
The Great and Powerful Trixie. Gilda Griffin. Gabby Griffin (Sky and Winds, is she annoying.) Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles (same). Zephyr Breeze. Spitfire and the Wonderbolts.
Again, etc.

And don't even get me started on the ones of these in the Equestria Girls side of things.

Truth be told, for a long time during Season 5, like I was (and still mostly am) with Oruku Karai on the 2003-2009 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, I was really pretty ambivalent about Glimmer as a character.
She was okay, to me, and actually was a fairly passable villain up til the season finale.
(Not on a level of, say, pre-reformation Discord, Nightmare Moon, or Chrysalis, certainly, but fairly entertaining).

But what got me about her, initially, was that, JUST like Trixie in the aftermath of Boast Busters in Season 1, Glimmer blamed Twilight for her downfall (rather than both owning/mareing up and accepting responsibility for their own foolish, childish actions, instead of blaming Twi for what happened to bring about their respective downfalls), and childishly decided to get revenge on her.

But where Glimmer's downfall was concerned, it was almost a foregone conclusions, as her "Total Equality" shtick was doomed to fail from the get-go.
Because as we saw, Party Favor, Sugar Bell, Double Diamond and Nightglider had developed second thoughts and all wanted their Cutie Marks and special talents back, as, it turned out, so did every other pony in "Our Town".
And that's NOT getting into what would have befallen Equestria, and by extension their whole world eventually, had she somehow managed to take the Cutie Marks of the two mare who controlled the sun AND the moon!

Spoiler alert: probably what was shown in that last future the three of them ended up in.

Then came the Season 5 finale, The Cutie Re-Mark, and the events and revelations that forever set in stone my intense dislike of Glimmer.

Oh, for the majority of the episode, it was good.
Glimmer going back in time to try and stop Dash's doing the Sonic Rainboom, Twi and Spike being sent into the various scenarios and futures that would have happened had the Rainboom not happened; it was all thrilling, end-of your-seat stuff and I was both excited, mesmerized and enthralled.

Then came the end, where Glimmer, totally frustrated by Twi and Spike's persistence by that point, took them back to show them both the very thing that started her on the whole "Cutie Marks bad, Equality good" trip to start with.

And her beyond lame-ass reason for basically trying to rewrite history.

I think I sat here with my mouth hanging open for like five full minutes thinking, like the title of that one Cutie Re-Mark fic, "That's it?!"
That's why she screwed with the timeline, created myriad distopian futures that caused untold deaths and casualties (okay, the Discord one was probably the exception to all of the others, from what I could see)?!
Because her best friend got his Cutie Mark, and went off to Celestia's School, and left her behind, so she decides "Cutie Marks are EVIL, so we's all be better off without them"?!
And she NEVER thought to; oh, I don't know; WRITE to Sunburst, OR try to make NEW friends in their village/town/whatever?!

Wow.
Just, just... wow.

Talk about a delusional (and to use the word you so nicely threw at me) fool.

But what angered and upset me even MORE was that Twilight (sweet, silly Twilight), rather than having Glimmer arrested and face a PROPER punishment for what she did (again, trying to destroy Twi and the girls' friendship just because they broke up her little "equality cult), she takes her in as her own student!

And you called ME a "fool".

And while you, and the author of this story think that she's the best choice, I definitely do not.
And that's my opinion, which, contrary to what you seem to believe, I do actually have a right to.

As to being one of the best characters on the show (just to use your own words; uh... no.
In MY opinion (again), that would be Applejack (or just about any member of the Mane 6).

And the actual reason that the show is still going, but is to end after the soon-to-be releases Season 9, is because we like it, and Hasbro knows it.
And, dare I say, Lauren's vision for it.
Simple as that.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course (as am I and others in the fandom), but Glimmer being the reason that it's continued for so long?
Uh... no.

People love our ponies as a whole.

That's the reason it's lasted this long.

And as far as I'm concerned, this conversation is over.

Okay?

You have your opinion on Glimmer, and I have mine.
You're entitled to love the dickens out of her if you want, but please just remember that I, and other members here have the right to hate the shit out of her if we want to (and btw, there's a Group here dedicated to the Glimmer Haters on the site) before you start calling people names like "fool".
And that goes for ANY character on the show.
Period.

Okay, reply done, and I'm out.
Got better things to do online today than fret about a load of horseapples like this.

Have a Harmonious day.
