I think the girls need to have a word with Discord, so he can have a word with Sombra.

Haha more Discord to come, he'll play his part ^^
Damn, Sombra's not big on the subtle, huh?
I'm surprised he's been able to keep his job so long. If someone acted that blatantly sadistic in class for everyone to see, then I'm sure he would have the whole freaking school report him for not only bullying, but also physical and verbal abuse. Bad teachers are one thing, but this character is a bit over the top in my opinion.

I've thought abou it but first of all, EG characters are too much to start with, and then I think we saw the incompetence of the two principals regarding issues like this (sunset shimmer in EG 1...). As long as he doesn't truly attack or threaten the students, his word will always be more valuable than a student's... Sad but true....
But don't you worry, I plan on giving him what he deserves at one point...
EDIT: I edited the author's note with further explanations, you should give it a look.
Bisous,
Saga.

i wanted to see vinyl deliver a ko punch
I have yet to understand why so many people expect realism and adherence to their own circumstance in fiction (aside from the obvious psychological stuff). I'd say you're all good on that front. Having grown up in the UK and Canadian school systems I gotta say that teachers *can* do bad things, as long as those bad things are more neglectful than outright harmful. Several punishable offences in my time merely on account of ignoring targeted cruelty (not the crap people call bullying these past few years). Keep rocking, I'll see you when I catch up on this story.
Honestly, I'm American. Grew up in the American school system. And yeah. I'll definitely admit that Sombra would not have lasted here. Especially in high school, where students have more of an idea what is and isn't acceptable social behavior than younger kids.
That said, he didn't seem all that unrealistic. I've had horrible teachers along those lines, who've just managed to skirt under the radar of administration (generally by not openly mocking or attacking students directly.) So in a less strict system, I could ABSOLUTELY see someo ne like that being a problem that doesn't go away.
For those saying that Sombra wouldn't be allowed to keep his job, it's worth remembering that standards have changed a lot in just a few years. When I was young (get off my lawn, damned kids!), there were a number of teachers whose behaviour would be unacceptable today; and a few decades before that, their behaviour would have been normal. Teachers used to be judged on whether they seemed like good people, whether they came from the right family, and whether they had the right religion, not on strict standards.
I never had anyone quite as bad as Sombra teaching me, but I recognise in him several of my teachers. Especially P.E., for some reason.
MLP has always had a "charmingly retro" style to it, borrowing from 1950s Americana and middle ages fairy tales, but unenlightened social policies are the flip side of that.
Still, I do hope Celestia puts him in his place.
Are there actual people like this in America? Because I've NEVER had a PE teacher this bad, they all acted like actual reasonable humans who didn't want their students dead.
As someone who's HAD P.E in France, I find this hard to believe.
