The overall tone I envisioned for this is quite different from the other story, so I decided to make it a sequel.
Okay. I like the idea of Sunset doing that with her magic. It's a trained version of what she did with Midnight Sparkle during their duel in the third movie.
I say that Pinkie would also use a Totodile or Sandile evolutionary line, a few other Fairy-types, and even an Absol. Mainly because those were discussed in the prequel. Ooh, an possibly a Vanillish line member.
Rarity could use a Ninetails (Alolan or Regular), Delcatty, and Milotic in her team for their looks and movesets. Even a Leavanny for its Pokedex description.
Applejack could probably use Hitmonlee, Heracross, Tropius, and even Torterra.
Twilight could use Vikavolt, Druddigon, Lycanrock, or Zoroark. She would figure out how to use Anime Rules to maximum effect with Zoroark's illusions.
Rainbow Dash could use Skarmory, Typhlosion, Scizor, Octillery, Gliscor, or anything that looks or sounds really cool.
Fluttershy would DEFINITELY love Mimikyu. And she would probably like Lapras, Ursaring, Beartic, Lopunny, and a few Flying-types.
Sunset can probably use Sawk, Infernape, Vaporeon (my personal favorite Eeveelution and it can fake out her opponents), Espeon, Solrock, Honchkrow, or Turtonator.
All of those are just suggestions, but I feel like they would fit.
I am pleased. Very pleased.
I honestly wouldn't know which Pokemon each person would have. All I do know is it will be awkward as all get out if Silver and Rarity fight in round 1.

I'm definitely interested in what Pokémon they'll have. However, I would love to see Rainbow have a Dragonite(Extreme Speed)or Noivern(fastest Dragon Type that's not a mega) and Fluttershy have a Goodra.

Having Pinkie transform with her Pokemon was actually a neat idea and think all the others should be able to do it. Having Pinkie using her Pinkie sense seems cheated, but when in the anime some Gym Leaders have some similar abilities and aren't restricted, no retort I guess. It didn't end up being that useful anyway. Question. What is this "bowshe wearson" Pinkie has? I don't know what you are talking about.

A great first battle! I loved the reference to Jojo with how Pinkie was predicting everything and commenting on what Sunset would say. That was a riot. So was the use of the mindscape to add the joke of Pinkie transforming like she did. XD

I think Silver maybe Autistic, a I don't mean that as a insult. He just has the signs, socially awkward, blunt, obsessive, intelligent and his moods whiplash pretty wildly.
