I found this to be a fantastic scene from the two older siblings' foalhood. I love your depiction of Pair Butter. The Perfect Pair answered so many questions, and of course it left several unanswered, but I truly felt that Pair Butter was a loving mother, and that was captured in this wonderful scene.

Wait. Wait a sec, Pear Butter is the official name of AJ, Bloom and Big Mac's mom!?
It's a shame that we didn't get to see more of the story; I would have at least liked a bit of Robin Horse outsmarting the sherrif of Trottingham and making off with a sack full of rubies, or... something.
There are good feels to be found in here, regardless. It's cute and well-written, and I'm a sucker for Apple parents. But it strikes me as incomplete, sadly.
Also, as a nitpick, I don't think Pear Butter spoke with the same twang as the Apple kids in the episode.

Pear Butter had a bit of a twang, as did Grand Pear. I think Pear Butter's VA sort of slipped in and out of the accent, though, and it wasn't as strong as the Apples'. I'll have to rewatch the episode to get a better idea.
