How many evil overlords are there in Equestria? the only episodes I've watched more than once are abridged parodies and a handful of Merriweather Williams episodes. Beyond that my knowledge is limited to the serendipity web comic.

In G4, there's Nightmare Moon, at least in the alternate timeline that Twilight visited, as well as King Sombra. Queen Chrysalis counts, whether it is ruling the changelings or the alternate timeline where she succeeded. In G1, both Lord Tirek and Grogar were also evil overlords. Starlight Glimmer was kind of an evil overlord in the making, although she only ruled over the one town.

Yes, but humans are already something akin to monsters, forged in the image of a self styled or fatalist god that is similarly capricious or arbitrary, the hero's are often mistaken for Dirty Harry, think they're Jesus Christ, and every single one has an easily diagnosable personality or development disorder by the time their twelve years old. Heck even among human doctors there is a greater likelihood that their idea of heroism is angel of mercy killing... I blame socialist communists who claim all capitalists are opportunists.
I also understand that they've decided who is going to run for president or political office by the time a child is eight years old... And, I'm pretty sure the journalists are manufactured as well.

With the anti-magic mineral at Nightmare Moon's disposal, Sombra's magic means literally nothing. Without his magic, he is no more threatening than a chipmunk.

You mean how he gave Shining Armor 'Crystal Herpes'? Yeah, he could block a less powerful unicorn's ability to cast spells, but if that could work on an alicorn, then he'd have used it in the fight one thousand years ago. And that device he used to protect the Crystal Heart didn't stop teleportation, it just immediate forced a teleporting unicorn to return to its point of origin. I'm not saying that Sombra is weak, it is just that, in these specific circumstances, he was dealt the losing hand. He can't beat Nightmare Moon head-to-head, and even guile offers him limited options when NM has such a gamebreaker at her disposal. The main reason the changelings aren't ruling the world right now is because they didn't know how to utilize that anti-magic throne to the utmost of its capability: They used it to protect their base, rather than use it to eliminate their enemies. It was a powerful defensive weapon, but its offensive capabilities were much greater, with a little imagination.

Well well, I must admit I find myself intruigued. I do hope he's read The List...
But then again, if he's that good at the role he plays, then he's most certainly had copies of The List pinned up all near his VR gear. I do indeed look forward to seeing this fic continue. Ensure that it does, would you? I would hate to have to set an Erasor Maw (Dimensional Horror from Stellaris) upon yet another promising plane due to the timestream failing. It is such tedious work, and I rarely find an identical one of any quality.
...Okay, so I accidentally let slip the more evil side of my Author Persona. Very Imperial, if I must say so. Also, is it wrong that I imagined Grogar having the voice of Hermaus Mora from Skyrim? I mean the voice would have fit nicely in my opinion.
