Hmmm. I think of dark as being more of a mood thing. Dark stories are creepy or grim, which this isn't. I'm not sure if it really would fit.

What your thinking of is the horror tag with creepy and grim, the dark tag is for well dark themes like bad guys winning, torture and such, also:

Then again i find the basic of lunas spell altering Celestia fully even more unsettling as it seemed like quiet a "simple spell" with not needing any preparations or such. And Celestia does mention that her pony form isnt in "heat" yet so couldnt get pregnant yet when away from luna and the spells "force the affected to act like a dog" kicks in shes in heat and ends up pregnant as a dog.

I guess I don't find that unsettling because I just regard it as obvious clop bait, not serious storytelling. I find this whole story (to me) to border more on needing the "comedy" tag because it's so ridiculous a premise.

Meh im aware im just overthinking it, just reading what is there can but doesnt need to be seen as anything more then it is, but i had this "oh sh*t thats actually quiet dark" moment when i thought about whats the meaning of it.
Then again were discussing a clopfic of a show about candy colored ponies, love eating bug-ponies that turn into moose-beetles and such.
But hey whats just a funny premise to some, to someone else its a fetish. But i think that even "joke" stories should be properly tagged so just put the suggestion out for you to decide what to do. :P

Ehhhhh divided... some of it was hot.. but a lot of it just... went a little to far. Not quite to "need to add a Dark Tag" level, but it comes damn close and.. it kind of ruins things. The way Celestia and Luna act is just.. unhealthy, it's like Fifty Shades of Grey type relationship rather then a realy master/sub one where both sides have equal say and respect. Celestia at no point ever seemed to have any say in anything, not even being willingly choosing to obey, simply following orders without question like she was programmed to do so. It came off as way to harsh, and Luna was overbearing for how subservient Celestia was.
The whole being rutted by a dog thing.. that was kind of hot, but the way Celestia thought was just... again it came off to much focusing on Celestia being utterly and truly helpless and literally unable to do anything, versus her finding she enjoyed this and it being her choice to go through like this. It takes it to the level of this pretty much feeling like rape, and so.. yeah Dark tag would kind of fit. It teeters right on that line. But, again the idea and the actual act his fun and kind of hot, the way it was portrayed... focused to much on Tia being utterly helpless and made it come off far to rapey. To say nothing of getting knocked up like that.

I don't want to just throw the customer under the bus, but I would probably have approached a lot of this from at least a slightly different angle if writing it for myself.
On the other hoof, nothing about this is meant to be real, realistic, depict real relationships or real ways of going about kink or sex. I have the disclaimer about fantasy on it for the various consent and relationship problems as much as because there are dogs involved. It's meant to be somebody's fetish, and awful consent is a lot of people's fetish.
8222390 Fair enough, it's more.. how it didn't seem to be sure which way it wanted to go with thing that made it harder to really get into, kind of hitting an uncanny valley between fun kinky shit, and darker, rapey kinks. Trying to kind of be both and not balancing well. Not pushing far enough to really commit to it being a darker, non-con thing that really dealt with that, but treading to close to it to just be enjoyable kinky fun for me.

As someone on the sub end I could see the allure there, because one of the fantasies prevalent is the 'You didn't ask for it, you can't stop it, and therefore you don't have to feel guilty about it - or enjoying it.' That's part of the game, in a way - because it's happening and your efforts to prevent it don't work, it's okay to let go and accept the inevitable and not fight it.
Especially for something taboo where enjoying it would be guilt-inducing on multiple levels.
