"My overall impression about Mormons is that they're... like ... ... ... white asian people." - a stupid melon fudge

T

The first time Maud meets Trixie, she thinks she's an egotistical narcissist, and Trixie thinks Maud's an emotionless robot with no worries. Funny how first impressions change...

A romance told in snippets with frequent time skips and written for Jake's Horse Words Extravaganza (Obscure Shipping contest): https://www.fimfiction.net/group/212414/jake-the-army-guys-horse-words-extravaganza

I haven't even read it yet but I ship it

This premise is wonderful.

Ah, Mauxie. A fun ship, though I'm not over the moon with this presentation. There's more than a whiff of Alien Shipping Syndrome* as the two wonder why they're so attracted to the other, the montage style makes everything feel disjointed, and and the characterization is iffy at times. Especially with Trixie; she's shown that she can drop the persona.

Once the story hits its stride, it's pretty good, but—rather appropriately—it gets off to a rocky start. Still, thank you for your participation, and best of luck in the judging.

*Wherein the shipped characters come together not because of chemistry between them but at the behest of the brain parasites infecting them.

Oh, MAUXIE. That sounds more right.

Thank you for your input.

Sounds too much like Moxie imo.

How sweet this fic is.

Ahhhhhhh, my feels explode to joy!

This story is cute and underrated.

Starlight shook her head and mumbled to herself, "Sorry Spike, this is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Why are you just standing there? Blast her during her monologue!"

Well, you'd know about timing monologues properly, wouldn't you Sunset.

Though she was usually met with disagreement, Maud considered Pinkie the smartest member of her family, and believed that Pinkie chose to not use her intelligence in order to make more friends. It was difficult for most ponies to relate to a genius.

Well, I'd usually put the qualifier 'insane' in front of it, but I'd certainly describe Pinkie as a genius.
