This story is a sequel to Rainbow Dash, Element of Magic

However, their down time may be cut short as they find themselves embroiled in the hunt for a mysterious treasure of Equestria's past and the vile crew of pirates seeking it. As the pair make a new friend during these dangerous times, they find they must both help their friend turn away from a dark path while also thwarting the plans of the villainous Captain Squirk.

Good chapter. Also ponies can eat meat....Sweet!

yes, I just feel that's more interesting an idea than if they cannot...plus its gonna be rather pertinent in the enxt chapter

Hey there. Sorry I took so long to get around to reviewing this, but still, I have to say, so far, this DOES look to be a darn good story. The characterizations are quite well done for your universe (especially with Twi and Rarity adapting to this strange new world) and the future chapter set-up is also great.

I'll very definitely be looking forward to more of this, but I will also be quite willing to be patient. After all, I get that real world concerns have to come first AND inspiration is not always easy to come by.

Very little I can say beyond excellent job on this latest chapter. The action in the flashback was quite well done as were the exchanges and characterizations throughout the chapter. And, yeah, this is, indeed, getting VERY intriguing indeed.

I'll quite certainly be looking forward to more of this, but will also be perfectly willing to respect the fact that real world concerns have to come first and inspiration might be difficult to come by.

Holy moley. This is one doozy of a chapter. Excellent exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. And, yeah, considering the pressure everyone has to be under in this story, the multiple blow-ups are pretty understandable. I'll most certainly be looking forward to more, but will also respect that real world concerns have to come first.

Again, closing in on the finale. Thanks immensely for getting the next chapter up. It took a while, but was WELL worth the wait. Once more, superb work on the characterizations, exchanges, action and climax set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked Twilight's interactions with the seaponies, Rarity's interactions with Crabnasty and Twilight and Rarity's patch-up.

I'll very certainly be looking forward to more of this, but will also be quite willing to respect the need for patience.

It was so nice of Angle Glow to wait and let Twilight and Rarity to finish their make up friendship/ make up speech.
Also Rarity considers using magic, cheating when it comes to flying makes sense.

to be fair, the angler fish was being kept busy by both Crabnasty and Bubble Burst, plus having a fricken claw-thing stuck on his back. Also, he hasn't really experinced pain before so its a lot worse for him to experiencee it than anyone else.

Holy cow. That was a superb chapter. Excellent work on the exchanges, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked Twilight and Rarity's chats with the crew and the show of the effort that went into the battles especially considering the fight with the Captain which, for some reason, I can see one of three things happening, either 1. Captain Squirk emerges stronger than before and the REAL final battle begins, 2. Captain Squirk gets "recruited" in an epilogue scene by somebody gathering up baddies who have been beaten by the Element Bearers and would have reason to want revenge. or 3. A combination of both. Of course, I WILL freely admit that I COULD be wrong .

At any rate, I will very certainly be looking forward to more of this, but will also be quite understanding if real world matters get in the way.

.....actually one of your predictions for the epilogue is spot on

Hey there. VERY good job on the final chapter. As usual, the exchanges, characterizations and future story set-up are all well done in all the right places.

I particularly liked the scene with the surviving crew and the sea ponies, as well as Rarity's letter to Celestia and what I'm guessing to be work-up to the second season finale between Tirek and Squirk .

At any rate, I will very certainly be looking forward to more of this, but will also respect if real world matters need to take top priority.

While this story is generally good, I think you went overboard on the conflict between Rarity and Twilight in the beginning. Their personalities and judgement are fundamentally very different from the canon flashpoint between AJ and Rarity so it just doesn't make sense for them to clash so strongly. This Twilight has a very broad perception of worth so it doesn't make sense for her to complain about Rarity the way AJ complains about Rarity and Rainbow in canon since this Twilight should immediately see the value of Rarity's skills and respect her impatience with slow-paced activities like fishing.

Also, Angle Glow should be female because angler fish reproduction is really freaking weird.

You are correct biologically. Virtually every herbivore can and occasionally does eat other animals to some extent. In nature it's usually done to make up for some deficiency (I remember hearing of a case of a deer with a calcium deficiency eating a squirrel), but for a civilization like the ponies it would absolutely go further, especially considering they have contact with the presumably omnivorous griffons.

i have learned something!

KNOWLEDGE! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE KNOWLEDGE!

also, considering Angle is basically a magical mutant, they are weirder than your typical angler fish, so they follow their own rules! also I didn't know that fact about angler fish when I wrote this, so yeah o3o

again I must note how horrifying nature is and how much I hate it sometimes.
