Jay David

Just a guy from Britain who loves MLP.

During a visit to Fluttershy’s cottage, the topic of conversation eventually turns to Twilight. And when it does, Applejack reveals that, given recent events, she has a few concerns regarding their unicorn friend.

Of course, Applejack always ends up being the paranoid one.:ajbemused: Hopefully she doesn't go too far with it.

It will be interesting to see this Rarity be a bit more amiable.

As usual, great portraying of Cold War.

I think in this case AJ is being properly paranoid. It's clear the Lunars, and by extension Moon, are trying to lure Twilight to their cause.

Well, eternal peace lasts until the next war.

Not much I can say beyond, great job on this short story. I can hardly blame AJ for getting worried, but hopefully she doesn't end up taking things so far as to drive Twi even further toward the Lunars. And, yeah, in all fairness to Twi, friendship might seem like the more difficult road sometimes, but it can also reap some surprisingly good rewards for both sides under the right circumstances.

Somehow, I have a hunch that Twi will end up seeing both the best and the worst of both sides, but not before she has made a fair number of friends on both sides. Then, instead of betraying one set of friends or the other, she will end up taking a third option by creating her own side (one dedicated to helping out her friends on both sides of the dispute and trying to get both Celestia AND Queen Moon to listen to reason without resorting to unnecessary force). Though I will admit this might sound overly optimistic (in fact, it probably DOES), I will also admit I can't resist the image for some reason.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your work with us.

Nothing's wrong with the lunars :trollestia:

...oh no, there's nothing wrong with manipulating other countries and forcing regime change. I'm not gonna paint Celestia in perfect shades, but it's clear that the Lunars aren't saints either.

I'm kidding, okay?!
That was sarcasm

Of course, Applejack always ends up being the paranoid one.

The question is, will she be wrong, or will she be right like she was in BlackRoseRaven's
Because Love Conquers All?

Hmm, Zephyr appears to be less of a lazy jerk in this fic.

Less dislikable this time :ajsmug:

This is freakin' great.

"The pleasure's all mine, Twilight. It's good to have him over to see her. Scoot's taken quite an interest in the lad."

Oh she has, has she:ajsmug:? I wonder how that will go...:pinkiehappy:...especially with her being so kind and sweet like her adoptive mother in this AU...:scootangel:

"Well, I'll be sure to give all the appropriate teasing to him when we get home."

Oh poor Spike! I can only imagine what that will be like:rainbowlaugh:!

"Twilight has never done anything other than what's right. And I consider her to be as much of a friend to me as you are."

Oooooooh, Fluttershy just owned you AJ:rainbowdetermined2:!
