Not a brony. No really, I'm not. I'm just here to see what awesome stuff this crazy fandom puts out.

When two worlds of great difference meet, it shall result in either the greatest of unities, or the most horrific of tragedies.

These are tales of such unities.

A series of one shots about human-pony interactions that I lack the time and/or creativity to create full fledged stories about. Feel free to get inspired and make one of these ideas work, or point me towards a story that already does.

If you're looking for something darker, check out the sister collection.

Cover art by me, using flag images from google search and put together with gimp.

This... This was cute, and I'm glad unlike in that other timeline things went well here.

Fascinating ideas, all of them... except the second-to-last one. "The magic goes away" plots always turn my stomach. I don't know, it just feels wrong.

But the other ones? I'd love to see every one expanded. I may even take a crack at some. You know, at some unspecified point in the future. :derpytongue2:

I don't know, "magic goes away" can serve as a good unifying aspect... IF there's a way to get it back, that is. And they don't seem to have given up on that hope yet.

Well this is certainly an interesting concept.

If you're hungry for more stories with this idea, Destinies is another fic that uses this plot, and it's finished with a sequel being written.

Twilight let out another sigh.

“Well, on the one hoof, I’m ecstatic to have open access to such an extensive library of information. On the other, I’m worried about some of it’s darker aspects. I was given the opportunity to browse as I saw fit some time ago, and the things I saw…” Twilight trailed off.

“Such as the pornography of us that already exists?” asked Celestia with a bemused expression.

Psssh! Don’t hate! :trollestia:

Twilight blushed, then cleared her throat.

“Yes, that’s one thing. But far more concerning, however, is the level of interactivity we will have with humans if we connect. We all know perfectly well that both humans and ponies have their good and bad eggs, but I’m not sure if Equestria’s ready to handle the level of deprivation that is an internet comment section,” said Twilight.

Yeaaah, not gonna lie, that can indeed yield some nasty shit. There’s smart comments, but they get overshadowed by all the toxic and hate filled ones.

“On my way now. Let’s teach these monkeys how to play!” declared Rainbow.

:rainbowhuh: Ummm, racist?

“Then you don’t care that the latest book mentions what’s going to happen to your new president?” said Lyra with a smirk.

:pinkiehappy: Oh please let it be “convicted of treason!” Oh, please merciful Celestia let him rot in a cell!

Also, a scenario where characters from another universe find one where their entire lives up until a certain point are a fictional franchise?

:rainbowderp:...... Sorry, I- I just got really nostalgic all of a sudden.

Yeah, I HATE 'the magic goes away' too. It's part of why the series finale of Star Vs. made me uncomfortable. I understand WHY they needed to do it--only way to stop a genocide--but I have to wonder about the widespread ramifications. Aside from all dimensions smooshing together into one.

Nice story! I was confused with the other Green Grasses in Fimfic, but *shrugs*

I wonder how Morning is reacting to her treatment, and stuff, but I'll assume it went well.

I realize that one possible reason why there's so little focus on doctors in a first contact scenario is because, well, most people who write fan fiction aren't doctors, and you kind of need some understand of human medicine to make this idea work.

You a doctor?

Typo:

It was to expected > It was to be expected

liquid pride

This is still an amusing phrase. And quite frankly, we really should draw a line between tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

But is there one where it's done in a slice of life setting with no big bad to face or mystery to solve?

Emphasis mine. There's pretty much always the mystery of "how did this happen and how can we make it stop happening" that's inherent to the premise, and trying to solve it results in plot beyond what can comfortably be called "slice of life" so... probably not, you had to throw in a reference of this having been going for centuries to prevent that issue.

I realize that one possible reason why there's so little focus on doctors in a first contact scenario is because, well, most people who write fan fiction aren't doctors, and you kind of need some understand of human medicine to make this idea work.

Unlikely, given that ignorance doesn't stop the authors from focusing on the political fallout.

Oh yeah, Mega Man Battle Network! That series is actually part of how I got my username.

She just really didn’t like zombie games that much for some reason.

Cookies...

Mutual fictionality is always a fun time. Especially when you were expecting it because you based your dimensional travel spell on Heinlein. So many shenanigans when you meet your own author under those conditions.

Oh, and on that last bit: I personally would have joked about ponies being a leading cause of diabetes in humans.

I'm quite disappointed that Twilight Makes First Contact was never completed.

I feel like you call us animals,
We are, but still.🤨

Medical Breakthrough: Ponies invent cure for diabetes!

“It was to expected, I suppose. Do you have any idea how much sugar is in a typical pony’s diet?” commented Dr. First Response.

Better get that one to Pinkie.

“Such as the pornography of us that already exists?” asked Celestia with a bemused expression.

DAMN YOU RULE 34!

Oh hey they're going to do some good video games, maybe play some classics or get down with some new innovative stuff maybe
>League of Legends
Oh. Nevermind.

“Aunt Mary, Uncle John, I’m home!” called Starshine as she closed the front door.

Hopefully Little Richard won't pop by to tell Aunt Mary about Uncle John being with Long Tall Sally or else he'll have to duck back in the alley!

*is booed and ushered off stage while rotten vegetables are thrown*

wonder what this would be like if they were playing SCP Secret laboratory

I want this so bad.

I want a virtual Equestria and a pony companion and a PET.

In fact, the whole concept of Battle Network mixed with MLP is beautiful.

I would like to see more of this.

“You bet I am. Let’s hope we get some decent partners this time. That one guy from yesterday didn't even know that Shadow Raid's stealth only,” said Rainbow with a shake of her head.

At least he can play... I don't know why these game crashes are happening on my computer, but once I get one that I didn't accidentally give a near-inoperable data drive tumor, I better be able to play.

“Fluttershy, today's the second anniversary since you moved in with us. Two years of you helping us whenever possible and being there when we needed you. It might not be that big deal to some people, but as far as I’m concerned, you’re a member of this family, and think the day that first happened is worth celebrating,” said Mrs. Turner.

That right there is truly a fine attitude to have if you've got a pony for a friend.

I wish I had a pony for a friend.
