Starlight Glimmer really likes kites. Rainbow Dash crashes into things. When Rainbow destroys one of Starlight's creations, she agrees to help replace it. And wouldn't you know it, she turns out to be pretty good at it! That's probably why she looks forward to hanging out so much...

This is so nice! Really warm and all. I didn't know they could be a cute match.

8152168 mostly popped in to see if someone had posted something like this :pinkiehappy:. Got a good read and sound knowledge someone remembers Mary Poppins.

I guess new ships appear every day...but this was cute story though, I liked it.

The ship I never thought I wanted, but now know I need more of.

a swallow might be a bit more fun.

African, or European Swallow?:trollestia:

Obligatory references aside, I thought this was kinda cute.

Quite an interesting read.

Never have I've ever seen works about the Starbow ship but then again I hardly look for shipping stuff.

Short but still a great story nonetheless.

Funnily enough, I just read this story which teases at Starbow, but it hasn't really happened yet.

8152168 exactly what i thought when i read the chapter title

Gotta be honest here: Good concept, poor execution.

Rainbow crashing into Starlight's kite is a great setup for the two of them to spend time together and start admiring each other.

Rainbow's characterization seemed pretty good as far as I read. A bit too much emphasis on "lazy Dash", but I did like the way she got on top of the Rainbow Crash nickname.

I didn't get a good feeling for Starlight's character before I started skimming. Her sudden appreciation of Rainbow's looks seemed forced as far as I read, as if she were infested with brainworms (see TvTropes). If it was justified later, I did not find out. Judging by the last couple paragraphs, I'm guessing not.

Overall, the prose was far too "telly". So many things were simply stated to the reader instead of being shown through the characters' actions, which makes for a very boring an unimaginative story(for the reader.

On one final note, I saw this story through its being added to the Polyamory group, yet I did not see any traces of anything more than a hint of RainbowGlimmer, unless you're counting the kite. If you could shine some light on this issue I'd be much obliged.

Throughout the story, there are several references to Rainbow being in a relationship with Applejack as well. It's not a major focal point of the story, which remains focused on Starlight and Rainbow.

In that case, I'm even less interested than I was when I first clicked, but I suppose it can stay in the group.

Okay, that was really cute in a very good way.

8154181 rd is apparently already with aj

Omg, I had never even considered this ship before but this lovely (and well-written!) story has completely won me over! I really love how you portrayed their relationship, it was super unique and interesting to read! Thank you for blessing us with this adorableness

I love this story. It's kind of cute and nerdy. I like that the ship was just kind of natural and didn't feel forced. This is now my OTP and personal headcanon. I love how intelligent this story was and how you were in Rainbow Dash's thought process.

Rainbow groaned. “How early are we talkin’ here?”

I feel her pain.

I didn't even know I shipped this until I read this.

Anyways, awesome job! It was short and sweet, and boy was it cute!

Well there is a ship I would never have thought of, let alone assumed I would adore so much. They make a cute couple and I really liked how in character they seemed to be. Overall cute story, a nice enjoyable read. Keep up the good work.

The use of kites as a connecting point for these two characters is frankly ingenious. Rainbow Dash has knowledge of weather and aerodynamics, and Starlight Glimmer has knowledge of kite design. The two complement each other perfectly.

aww!! I absolutely loved this!
