If shes naked then wouldn't travelling through a forest hurt your feet. Shes gonna get mud, splinters, stones and lots of other stuff wedged in her soles. It's a bit stupid to point out as it won't contribute much but I just wanted it know. Nice start to the story though

Write down ALL your ideas for this story on paper/notepad. Then you can sort out what to do, when to do it, and where would everything go. Like a puzzle. That's how I sort myself out for stories (most recent), and they turn out decently long (don't know about quality, not enough criticism).

My advise is do make her an alicorn she earned the title and the added power(If that's part of it) but I also believe that the whole “alicorn of friendship” thing didn't really suit her, I mean sure she's good at friendship but what she really shines in magical study and application. She could probably beat Celestia and Luna in a fair fight just with her raw magical power alone so her trying to learn more magic types would make sense after her ascension and I don't mean a bunch of general spells that do very little like in the show.
I mean her name is TWILIGHT and her mark is MAGIC witch means all types of it and if you ever saw slayers you know that in some works of fiction that when dark magic and light magic work together they either explode like a small concentrated neutron bomb or do something called harmonic resonance where they feed off of each other and create a much more powerful effect than either prire could have done.

I agree with your points here the princess of friendship was mostly a shove in to better fit with the shows title in the same sense friendship could just be a synonym to magic in the context it is given but I will have Twilight showing alot more of her magical expertise as this goes on.

That's good to hear I mostly just used this to go on a tangent about how darkmagic using twilight is the best. I mean with a name like twilight I thought for sure she'd have more dark magical moments then just two (if you count the comics). Also when I started watching the show I thought she’d become luna's student as well. Twilight is the time between light and dark so I thought it made sense for here to learn from both of the celestial monarchs.
