way too much messing with Lore and holy crap way to many SSDs

8088480 As if Disney didn't mess up the lore already.

8088505
8088480

I did warn you guys

8088507 yeah but seriously how does the EMpire lose with that number of SSDs

8088510

Warlords

Realistically, after the Battle of Endor, the remaining Imperials still can easily wipe out the Rebels. The problem is, they all began to fight among themselves for power.

In Legends, many of the SSDs fell into the hands of individual warlords. They began to use them to destroy other Imperial Warlords and the New Republic. All the New Republic had to do is take out the SSDs one at a time.

Now, if they were to band together, they could easily defeat the New Republic as evidence from the Second Battle of Coruscant. If they rallied behind Thrawn, I can guarantee you, Thrawn would've destroyed the New Republic before Leia discovered how the Empire deceived the Noghiri. Of course, he's an alien and many Imperials hated aliens including him.

The Super Star Destroyers are indeed very powerful, but with enough ships and enough firepower, you can easily destroy one which the New Republic did (excluding the Terror which was destroyed by Rebel Saboteurs, the Annhiliator which was destroyed by the Eclipse, and the Intimidator when it was stolen, taken back by Imperials, and then discovered abandoned in the Unknown Regions.)

Besides agreeing with Admiral Q, I'd say you'r of to a good start. Let's see were you take it.

Here is a wid kinda showing why there where so few SSDs.

You have so much potential with this story have a like and follow.

8088681
Except the Empire already had many. If it weren't for the Death Star, they could easily build hundreds.

8089048 Did the empire build the Deat Stars in this univers?

8089091

Of course, if they didn't, Palpatine and Vader would probably still be alive, and there would've been hundreds of Super Star Destroyers.

8089104 Maybe not hundreds:pinkiecrazy:, but defenatly deep in to duble didgets.:pinkiehappy:

And we need NM emoji.

8088551 that's still too many SSDs. I have only heard of 5 in legends. Executor, Lusankya, Iron Fist, Razors Kiss, and Knight Hammer. THese ships are expensive and hard for warlords to make.

8089110

Well if you saw how much time it took to build the Death Stars and how expensive they were, the Empire could easily build hundreds of SSDs.

8088681 he's wrogn it's 8km not 19km

8089130 Aktualy the construktian wern't to bad, it was the divelopment that ate time laike nobodys buissnis.

8089137 And sudenly the hundred mark was possible, only just.

8089128

The Warlords didn't make them though. They were all already built by the time of the Battle of Endor excluding the Razor's Kiss. All of the other SSDs were guarding important planets. I believe the Aggressor was guarding Corellia, Terror was guarding a Military Research Facility, Whelm was part of the Azure Sword Command, Intimidator was part of the Black Fleet, and Reaper was part of Scrouge Squadron which was another group of elite Star Destroyers like Death Squadron.

All in all, every SSD besides Razor's Kiss was already built and operational. It isn't hard for warlords to take them over when many of them were the commanders of the individual SSDs to begin with.

8089137

19,000 Meters=19 Kilometers

Fuck Disney cannon with a lightsaber.

8089143 Knight Hammer is after Razor's Kiss.

8089150 wrogn 8 Km you look at the ISD which is 1.6km 19km is way too big.

8089324

They built a fucking Space Station the size of a moon. 19Km is nothing for the Empire. The Executor-class Super Star Destroyer is 19,000 meters.

19,000 meters is 19 kilometers

8089320 Ok? But the majority of the SSDs were already built.

are we going to see thrawn coming back to life or are we going to see the empire change for the better?

Pellaeon was elated considering the real Thrawn is currently on a vegetative state after receiving multiple blows to the head by his former bodyguard Rukh when they fought.

Wasn't Thrawn stabbed?

8090135

Alternate Universe buddy

8090091

Well you gotta wait and see

8089409 yes but the SSD is not that big. Eclipse is but not the SSD's

8090457

19 km is 11.806 miles

For a space ship, that's fucking humongous.

For the Empire, it's entirely possible to build one.

The length of the Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer is 17.5 kilometers. That's less than the Executors.

Just finished attending Timothy Zhan's inaugural book signing for "Thrawn", his newest Star Wars book. Coincidence? Great guy, and a local author here in Oregon.

8090474

I live in So Cal but I do want to buy his book.

8090470 visuals say otherwise. ISD 1.6 meters long. the pick of the ISD FLYING right under the Executor shows that about 8 maybe less then match her length so that's clsoer to 8KM not 19 KM

8090709 Wiki and chart are wrong. Jsut liek the idea the Death Star 2 was 900 KM. The true size is 8 KM. some idiot years later chanfged to stupid reasons.

here's a pic form Empire strikes back.

theforce.net/swtc/Pix/dvd/zs/tesb/fleet02.jpg

you see that ISD under the Executor. that 1.6 km now count how many of them would it take to go the length of the Executor. it certainly isn't 19 of them.

here's me takign that one ISD and pasting it over the Executor. i get to about ten. certainly not the 19 or so.

http://tinypic.com/r/wl8yus/9

8090721

Now here's the problem with your argument: You don't know how far the ISD is from the SSD. A simple pic from the movie doesn't prove anything. Also, you're gonna call the people who made the wiki and are actual experts idiots? Are you an expert?

I told you to look up the wiki. You called the people who made it idiots.

I gave you a size comparison, you ignored it.

You're in denial.

I even gave you simple math.

19,000 meters=19 kilometers.

The closest ship to your 8km argument is the Bellator-class Dreadnought which is 7,200 meters.

7,200 Meters=7.2 Kilometers

8090739

Again, the picture means nothing because you don't know how far the ISD is from the SSD.

Then there's the fact that you chose the closest ISD and not the other two.

8090749 yes we do it is RIGHT under the SSD.

and I choose the closest because we then get proper scaling.

Look a youtube group call Trekyards has research other ships in scifi franchises and have discovered official sizes are wrong on some ships.

8090786

Again, you still cannot tell how close they were.

Plus, the scenes were incosistent with the positioning of the ISD.

And who is we. You are literally the only person that says SSDs are 8km long

Go ask the creators of Star Wars. They will all say they're 19,000 meters.

8090786

s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/1d/ed/17/1ded17a319e4cbcaeb4acaac6f8ba4ab.jpg

This is from an actual comic. You can see that one ISD that is directly on top of the SSD.

It's not accurate either due to the fact you can't tell how far they're from each other, but it offers a better view.

8090795 that's a comic, not form the trilogy

8090872

Ok? So?

You're basing your argument off of 2 inconsistent scenes from the movies.

I'm basing mine off of multiple consistent sources.

8090874 mine is not inconsistant. and from the PRIMARY source.

8090893

You know why it's incosistent?

The placement of the ISD is inconsistent in the two scenes.

If you really think it's 8km, then why does every single person besides yourself say they're 19,000 meters?

8090900 it's 8 Km because books for ages said so then a few years ago some idiot changed it despite all history saying otherwise. Some say the DS2 was 900 KM but official books said 160 km. Also officially it was 8km in the original reference guide and was widely excepted for that size. All EU books i read used the 8 KM size. And look at finctionality of a Super Star Detroyer. It is in essence a mega sized ISD. same function just bigger. Where as Eclipse has not only gravity well generators but a Sueprlaser 2/3 the power of the Death Stars. Has more tropps and fighters and yet it is somehow smaller then an SSD which only has turbolasers, ion canon, Concussion missiles, FIghters and troops. logically this makes no sense for the power requirements for Eclipse have to bee much more then Executor. 19 Km just doesn't fit and as I say not the first time an offical site got size wrong. According to Farscapes (another scifi series) official sites say a fighter craft i nthe show was only 4 meters logn. yet it was proved to carry 2 people, tightly but possible. 4 meters can't allow that. can't even allow 1 person. so one of the Trek Yards guys did some comparisons to the actors to they actually built craft to get the right size. so yes Wookiepedia is wrong.

Q and Lord can both of you just shut up about, this, the ship is big yes, it's as big or bigger then New York city if bigger, and before you get on me for this i don't care, i just want to see the next chapter, there are few stories that have the Empire being good or becoming good, so Q shut up, I read some of your stories and they are good, but you coming in here going about a size of a ship that is in someone's story, which is in a fanfiction, which any on can make up, if this does not help then find a common ground for the ship size between the ship and let Lord make another chapter.

8090947

Oh? Is that so? Then why hasn't Lucasfilm bothered to correct it?

It was descirbed in Kevin Anderson's novel as 8km, then it was changed to 19km.

19km became canon.

It's 19km in every book and comic from there.

There's nothing wrong with the Eclipse being a little shorter than the Executor, but the Executor is more in the flatter size. It would never have been able to carry the super laser.

The Eclipse can carry more than the Executor because it isn't flat like the Executor. It has way more space than the Executor. Of the Eclipse was flattened like the Executor, then of course it would've been longer than the Executor.

So yes, 19km is used in both the EU and the Disney canon. It is no longer 8km. Lucasfilm never bothered to correct it and they accepted them being 19km hence why every book and comic from then on depicts them as 19km. I'm not going with the 8km because that's not what they're depicted as in the EU.

If Thrawn was voiced, who would voice him?

8092327

Probably Benedict Cumberbatch.

This is looking good.
