fluttershy reminds me of a certain character from one of my favorite shows. It is called Winx Club. Fluttershy reminds of Flora. Flora controls plants with her natural Fairy ability and is quite shy and peaceful but if her friends or family is in big trouble her violent side can appear out of thin air.

Season 3 episode 12 of Winx Club there was a battle and Bloom has the Dragon Flame( the most Powerful magic) she was defeated by the powered up villains (the Trix which are witches.) even Stella, Musa, and Layla/Aisha were not strong enough and they were in their strongest form.

When flora's sister was in danger she surprised the Trix and took them down in the first form magical Winx.

And she was the only one who thought logically when the other girls had a desire for vengeance.

It is crazy how a quite one can be the shock of the life time.
