The title of this story is very much like most titles of The Big Bang Theory episodes. I'm guessing Twilight will be the Sheldon of this story?
Only one issue bugs me, why are there no rooms for the princesses? I've got believe there are more than 3 bedrooms in Twilight's castle, so we kind of need a reason the other's can't be used.

It just means I'm not asking for detailed reviews. I don't write these stories to have them critiqued, and have had several times in the past where people took it upon themselves to critique them very heavily/negatively. Reviews as in long detailed, thorough critiques, not just simple comments.
I can't help but feel that the princesses would've chosen the other roommates. Luna has said before she feels a certain kinship with Starlight, and Celestia knew Spike since he was a baby. Though maybe that latter fact would be awkward, but I find it rather strange that Luna would just decide on the spot that she'll stay with Spike.
Other than that, seems like a really entertaining premise, definitely following!
This is a very interesting story. If it had a teen rating it could be made into a sitcom. You know, just to play it safe.

Tirek's teeth, Twilight, I didn't think there were that many books in all of Canterlot! That you even managed to find enough to fill ALL the guest rooms and libraries in that TARDIS-tree-house of yours is both remarkable and disturbing. (Seriously, that castle has to be dimensionally transcendental with a compression ratio of about ten to fit all the hallways and massive rooms that we see in interior shots.)
And of course Cadence and Shining are here too. What are the odds? I wonder what's wrong with their palace?

I myself am heavily biased towards Twilight, so I can't really say anything from an objective standpoint without trying to, and I don't really have the time or energy for that right now. Also, judging by your other comment, I'm guessing that your biased towards Starlight. Perhaps we could have a friendly discussion about their magical prowess.

Also, I had a thought when I got to the part where Twilight mentioned sleeping in the library: it'd be funny to imagine the option of using the Equestria Girls world as a refuge..

Actually Twilight was unable to beat Starlight Glimmer in terms of a magic fight. So she's not more powerful. At least not in official canon, and we've seen plenty of canon limitations on her magical power (Twilight's magical power). Heck even when Twilight's giving her a "real challenge" she doesn't break a sweat.
And Starlight doesn't need a nerf. She has plenty of weaknesses ... just not any where magic is involved. Starlight has Crippling Overspecialization when it comes to magic. But outside of magic is either average, or below average than an ordinary pony. And taking away her magic / anti-magic field, makes her next to useless.
So yeah I agree with 9205994, she's perfect the way she is.
