Long ago and far off were two fillies: one and the other. One filly went to sleep at dusk; the other stayed up throughout the night. One was ever cheerful and open; the other avoided crowds. One yearned to see the world in facts and numbers; the other dwelt in fairytales and romance. But they both looked to the sky for guidance.

Great thanks to editors, without whom the story would hardly even resemble what it is now:
Paracompact, especially for his help with the description and the overall shape of the story

Really beautiful prose. I enjoyed the story overall, but wish there was more depth to it. It's rare to have a story about young Celestia and Luna, so more conflict would be interesting in my opinion.

Thank you! It was a digression from my current work, to keep my mind fresh, a sidestory to To Guard the Light, rather than a full-fledged direction I could take. I don't generally write children, or for children. I didn't want to start up another Paradise either, since there's someone already writing that. Perhaps some day I might come back to it, though.
