I'm just a storyteller who sometimes writes about ponies, too. English isn't my native language, but I'm trying my best =)

E

Button Mash has a REALLY bad day. He got an F at school; his classmates are teasing him, and on top of that, he is grounded. He feels like nopony understands him. What if something will happen to him? Nopony will remember Button – that is for sure… Well, he’ll know really soon if it's real or not.

The cover art named "Waiting for respawn" belongs to me, too

Thanks to The One and the Only this story has a sequel now: Nopony Will Forget!

So, I haven't read the story, but (no offense) I see you're a new writer, and I'm sure you made the same mistake a lot of people do; misuse of the 'Tragedy' tag. The literary definition of a 'tragic' story is not where something bad happens, but it is where the protagonist causes his own downfall due to his/her own mistakes; i.e the term, 'tragic flaw'. Proper tags is basically step one with a good story, so just a tip!

Well, you really should read stories before commenting on them, because if you'd actually read it, you'll see that is exactly what it does. Don't assume that just because someone is new they don't know what they're doing. Seriously, how can you be so sure they made that mistake if you didn't read the story, it's not really fair.

8028119 Really! That's actually damn impressive, and I gotta give this guy props for that. 99 percent of the stuff I've read using that tag misuse it, which is why I made the assumption. My comment wasn't meant to insult, and I was both on my phone and at work when I saw this story, so I didn't have time to read it. From my point of view, it was like a 100 to 1 chance that the author was correct, so I wanted to make the comment before I forgot about the story, because I am total shit at remembering stuff.

I was simply providing information, whether it be needed or not. It was not needed, therefore; I am sorry.

My comment was also partly from my own mistakes as a beginning writer: I used the tragedy tag on a story that didn't contain any elements of a true tragedy.

That's understandable. Giving advice is all fine and good, in fact I request advice an constructive criticism every time I post a new chapter of my own story, I'm pretty new myself. You're advice is very good, and will probably help me if I ever decide to write a tragedy in the future. But it was still a little unfair to make assumptions about a story before giving it a chance. I'm sorry I'm still on that, but I hope you can keep that in mind.

8028201 I totally agree; it was wrong of me to assume things. I should have read my comment before posting, lol!

Well then...
this was rather... interesting.
I have a system of shelves.
Today I've been generous, giving many more stories than usual the favorite marking.
However, you find that I placed this in dmoarn(random), sad, dark, (this should have at least the sad tag), and the heart rending tag.
I tend to have categories and subcategories, these subcategories generally being an extreme.
Examples are the True Horror shelf and what in the unholy hell is this, the former being a subcategory of horror and the later being half random. The latter can also be used for actually bad stories, and the Absolute Shit shelf is a subcategory of that.
You are in heart rending, the category in sad. Maybe I'm just tired, but you get a gold bloody star for this writing. good job.

Of course, his reasons for feeling that way are strange, but that's part of the tragedy.

I didn't expect to see such a discuss here :) Thank you guys for all your detailed comments and advices!I read all your comments and decided to change the tag Tragedy to a Drama. I hope that's not forbidden. Maybe this tag suits better.

But we agreed that the tragedy tag WAS fitting, you didn't have to change it. CoffeeBean was just concerned that you might not be entirely aware of what tragedy entailed because you were a new writer, but he hadn't yet read it at the time. Now that he has read it, he agrees that the tragedy tag was justified.
Though, the drama tag is fitting too, and you can have both.

8029742 In case you didn't fully look at everything we said, the three of us unanimously agreed that this story fits the tragedy tag.
In other words, it should have remained tragedy.

Okay, so be it :) And thank you again
